OK, I am guilty. I write long posts sometimes. But it is because I have something to say and in order to make sure that everything is clear I feel that I have to extend my paragraphs so that there isn't a question as to what I meant. Now, that doesn't mean that everyone gets it, because some don't.

I think I would take time to read most anyones thread as long as the subject interested me.

Bad font colors and overly large font sizes I can do without.

Doesn't matter. If the topic is interesting, I can/will read fifty paragraphs. However.... if its re-hashed crap over in the general part of the forums, I won't read it at all. Other than reality TV, there's nothing that I find more booring than mindless, talked-to-death BDSM relationship garbage.

Does that mean or not mean that you used to read Lola's posts beginning to end, pink font and all?

I'll just say that many times you had to ''read between the lines'' while assessing Lola's posts. But on the average, as long as they were pointed at a particular target, they were good.

I'm with benji.

The best posts are concise, precise, and to the point.

They usually do not consist of more than three paragraphs, preferably written in a journalistic style.

I'll read most the posts but if after the first couple lines the poster is rambling or just bitching or flaming someone else I tend to stop and move on. Some people, even if their post is only a couple lines long I tend to bypass them all together though if I'm really interested in the topic  I might skim over it. I've skimmed some really good posts that were just to hard to sit and read the whole thing do to font style or colour.

On thing some people need to realize is that white space makes reading long posts alot easier and choosing a font that doesn't make the readers eyes bleed is another. The Scripty fonts really suck. especially in light colours. I've found if I really want to read what the person said that highlighting the text will make it easier to read sometimes.

Lastly, and lord knows i'm far from perfect  but posts with numerous spelling mistakes or mistakes that are so obvious and constant I find really hard to read as well. As are those posted in third person speech.

Celeste,

I think you just asked for cock pics from me.  Prepare for the spamming of your life!

I'm joking.  I can't send cock pics from my computer.  They're too big.  LOL

Yours,

benji

Especially when the final statement has nothing to do with the first one.  Then why quote them all?  Just delete a few of the first ones. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

Short - some of those long ones go on and on and on and on and on ( wth.. writing a book)

"Less is more", well I tried that line on my bank manager and guess what? He (he, my banking slave!) fired me.

Less is more.

It depends on how interested I am in the thread, the number of posts on the thread, who made the post. If I am not particularly interested I will glance at some posts, if I am very interested I will read all of them. If I see someone I like to read I will sit through a longer post. If I feel someone doesnt resonate with me I will skip even a short post to get to the ones I am more interested in.

Depends on how interested I am in the topic. If I arrive at a topic late, I hardly ever go through the entire thing, usually defer to original post or the last few entries and respond just to that.
