I'm not sure what you're getting at. Businesses have always gone under, investors have always gone broke...yet the world keeps spinning.

And layoffs have always occurred... and production will be picked up by someone else or a better mouse trap is built.

Maybe now you are getting it

I didn't say they were running out tomorrow. Eventually though, layoffs are going to come, production is going to dwindle or stop, and inventory is going to disappear.

Layoffs have been happening off and on for over a century. BFD.

If layoffs occur, people won't have money. If they don't have money, what the fuck are they gonna use to buy guns?

Have you ever seen what happens when someone tries to rob a gun shop?

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 5:26:06 AM)

Not quite. Businesses going under and investors going broke has absolutely no correlation to the earth spinning on its axis or its rotation around the sun. If you had said "and governments continue standing and functioning", then it would be easy enough to show throughout history where governments have fallen and been replaced oftentimes by worse options when economies as well as social orders have collapsed.

But she didnt...
again with the word putting in the mouth and trying to look all superior

FAIL

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 5:54:28 AM)

Sure, a gun shop owner can hold off small isolated attacks. He'll be toast though when the peasants storm the castle.

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 5:56:08 AM)

You've got a bad attitude toward logic and are taking it way too personally.

Lucylastic -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:15:29 AM)

Personally?? how so???
Tazzy didnt say what you said. Which says that your argument is based on supposition, not logic, not fact and certainly not relevant to her post.
Seems to me to be a teensy bit of projection.

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:20:30 AM)

So by your logic, you were feeling inferior, thus you had to note my superiority. Personal.

Lucylastic -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:29:27 AM)

Nah just pointing out the apparent utter lack of fact in your response, Id make it all about you, but I dont wanna give the mods a hard time today

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:32:57 AM)

So, continuing with your cute reflection logic, the lack of fact you see in my statement is in fact your own lack. No wonder you feel inferior!

Owner59 -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:39:43 AM)

Oh Jeeezz.....spare up the self adorations

Lucylastic -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:48:26 AM)

When you have something factual to discuss , get back to me....
Im waiting with baited breath.....[8|]

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:55:12 AM)

I don't bother with self-adoration when so many here seem to want to do the work for me. I'd like it if people could address the issue instead, but alas, when there is inability to stick to such, personal attacks come to the forefront.

flyhumbleguy -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 6:58:15 AM)

By all means feel free in helping to get the topic back on track. The way to do so is to show how collapse of the economic and social order correlates to how the government can be maintained rather than making ludicrous statements about how it correlates better to the earth spinning on its axis.

But I didnt say.

You seem to have trouble understanding sarcasm. And, unless you are a sock for someone else, you are at a disadvantage whereas others understand my posting style far better.

Lucy is spot on, no matter how hard you want to dismiss her.

Dont put words into my textual mouth. I am quite capable of saying what I mean.

When production stops and inventory empties, thats typically a sign of a business, or industry, going under. The sarcasm is obvious in my post.

No.... the topic is as follows....

From the GOP website, an amazing message.

1. Its jeering tone is just nasty.
2. It talks vaguely about high-propensity voters. Translation - you'll never get your voters out.
3. "In the four party-registration states (Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada), we are poised to win the Election Day vote by even greater margins than we did in 2008." Um, in 2008, you LOST all four states. Get your facts right.
4. To say that the Romney campaign has contacted the same number of people as the Dems is technically accurate, but Romney contacts were robocalls and Obama's were live people. Did the GOP not know the difference?

On the whole, an amazingly dumb thing to say. Its tone won't win them many Independents, either.

The soviet union collapsed under its own weight, the berlin wall came down because west germany picked up east germanys debt, and there never has been a open and inclusve world, that is right up there that one; in the top 10 most cretinious bits of fantasy and unreality I have heard in my life..

The Berlin wall came down because West Germany picked up East Germany's debt?

(Now that's a new take on history).

You deny that sales of weaponry has been through the roof and will continue to do so?

Any validation for this opinion?

Uhhhm......that would be gun manufacturing, bullets and sales therein up substantially over the last 4 years.

Just wanted to comment some common misunderstanding of Americans concernig socialism. First, you've never experienced socialism, not even with FDR, so you have such misconceptions that one can't know where to begin. Nazism wasn't even a special branch of it as someone said, the word socialism in its name was just a lie. The Nazi party was a perfect blend of capitalism -see the association with the Krupps for instance- and nationalism, nothign to do with socialism. Obama isn't a socialist, just a left wing capitalist. Socialism can be good -like in Sweden or Britain in the 60's- or not so good like in Cuba. There's even something in the middle like Germany's social market economy. In America there's more risk of a soft kind of nazism if the extreme right in the Republican party gets stronger than of any sort of socialism. Believe me.

What is the problem with socialism in cuba as you see it?

That it's not working?

SimplyMichael -> RE: It's over for the Democrats. (11/11/2012 7:38:38 AM)

Oh the ignorant irony in your post, lol.

The economic problems in Cuba is due to American Socialism...for wealthy sugar farmers in Florida! We massively subsidize sugar farming in Florida an ban imported sugar from Cuba. But many of you support communist loving wallmart, lol,!

Cuba has a lower infant mortality rate and a higher literacy rate than the US. Cuba's economic issues are heavily affected by us economic boycot due to the importance of florida in the elections.

And its Communist China that is kicking our economic ass. Besidrs, anyone who has flown or drank coffee has experienced the benefits of socialism. Starbucks was very much a worker owned company as us SouthWest airlines.

All systems have strengths and weaknesses, none is perfect, they are tools, smart people try and maximize the strengths and minimize the downsides and use the best practices of all of them.
