Greedy - I don't believe they do! Well in many summers of seeing them or picking them up I never got bitten.

Thank you Aries! There are a distinct lack of ANY kind of bugs here in California. I spent last winter here for Christmas... a cold Christmas is still a concept to get use to!

LOL Kit!  With the seemingly infinite number of poisonous beasties and creepies that are native to Australia, I don't think I can be blamed for assuming that this was another one ;)

Happy to hear that something so lovely ISN'T hazardous to ones health!!

I have too disagree with that,.. there are those horrid crickets in CA.. they are sorta like (soft squishy) grasshoppers but noisy and dam fast!.. its like they can read yer mind as you are frantically swatting away at them and missing them swat after swat after swat.. When you finally do squish em.. they sorta disintegrate.. I find them totally disgusting... (shivers)

Aries beetle looks pretty tho, fer a.. bug..
