Sorry the Dems already took that, and we're living it now.

Part time careers for everyone!

But Obama does wear those suits well, and Biden, God bless him, I hope he lives to see the results of his vice presidency.

Its an improvement over what the GOP offered.

In Canada, Saputo Inc., the country’s largest snack cake maker, and George Weston Ltd. already own the rights to some Hostess brands.

Weston’s senior vice-president of investor relations, Geoffrey Wilson, said the company is not interested in any Hostess assets that might come up for sale.

But Weston is keen on continued investment in and marketing of Wonder Bread, for which it owns the Canadian rights, rights that are not affected by events south of the border, he said.

“It’s a very good seller. It’s a very important brand to us,” he said.

Meanwhile, dairy giant Saputo – whose ownership of the Canadian rights to the Hostess brand name is also not threatened by the liquidation – isn’t saying whether it might take a look at some of the Hostess brands and facilities.

The breakup of Hostess certainly represents an opening for rivals eager to gain market share, said Lionel Ettedgui, president of Saputo’s bakery division.

“This will create opportunities for all the players in the market,” he said.

Fucking Canadians.....trying to take over the Ding Dong concession [:@]

They were saying that Bimbo Bakeries was interested in buying...which leads to all sorts of available quips. But, I guess that won't happen due to anti-trust.

By golly, it sure is! Part time careers, & unemployment rates above 8% as the new normal, 18000 people out of work just before the holidays... Go Team Bama, keep up the good work!

A WIC card in every pot... That's my motto.

tazzygirl -> RE: A few Labor Leader, cost 18,500 people their jobs (11/19/2012 2:17:47 PM)

By golly! Everyone employed at a rate that STILL keeps them eligible for welfare, including food stamps... because.. by golly... having the whole country employed at a below poverty rate is still a country employed!

Moonhead -> RE: A few Labor Leader, cost 18,500 people their jobs (11/19/2012 2:20:42 PM)

It is strange that none of h8terz in here have any suggestions as to what Captain Magicpants and Randboy would have done to improve matters, come to that.

And where the hell were you and your bitching and whining when this was reported?

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- The economy shed 533,000 jobs in November, according to a government report Friday - bringing the year's total job losses to 1.9 million.

November had the largest monthly job loss total since December 1974.

"This is a dismal jobs report," said Keith Hall, commissioner of the Bureau of Labor Statistics, at a congressional hearing. "There's very little in this report that's positive. This is maybe one of the worst jobs reports the Bureau of Labor Statistics (founded in 1884) has ever produced."

Did you give a fuck then? Hell no! why? your boy was in charge!

Your right, rob didn't check his facts. There is a lot more than 18000 people unemployed. As for minimum wage, if the politicians and heads of companies had to work for minimum wage, the prices of everything would go down drastically.

As for the 2 percent reduction in social security for the employees, how much does an individual employee at minimum wage get? Seems to me the real winners are politicians and heads of companies making over 150,000 per year. Had the government given that to the employers with the proviso that the savings had to go towards higher another employee, how many more people might actually be working?

Don't forget the union bosses. The president of the bakers union that screwed over the Hostess workers makes $260,000 a year. In fact, all of the vice presidents of that union make more than $150,000...

Seems to me that the real winners are the bozo's who don't actually own the businesses or work in them, but want to control the work environment even though they don't have any stake in anyones well-being other than their own. Union leadership sucks their blood money from the working folks and keep their union sheeple from having a decent relationship with management.

Bankruptcy judge just told Hostess to meditate(?) with the union before further actions for the bankruptcy works will go on.

But don't you see owner, that's his (FDD) whole point.
The Bakers Union,in his opinion, should have bent over and spread 'em for the ineffectual management team so that the Teamsters and non union members could have kept their jobs
I guess that whole individualism crap only goes so far,in this case here FDD is saying the Bakers should have thought of the"collective" good rather than standing up for their own hard earned rights [8|]

They'd all still have jobs now wouldn't they

So the bakers union should have been concerned with the Teamster's jobs ,rather than solely worrying about their own bargaining position ?
Isn't that a bit socialistic ?
Rather big of you to suggest they adopt such a viewpoint ?
That are just fucking hypocritical....guess which way I'm leaning [:)]
