Herman Cain or Allen West?...Really? The Republicans turned on Cain as though he was a leper, and West couldn't even get re-elected to Congress. Why does everyone think I am saying THEY are calling GOP racists... I am and have only been posting in relation to the OP. I didn't say or even insinuate you were calling anyone racists. I was trying to point out you can't judge a parties views today by their views 40 years ago. Butch

Because you specifically said "you". As far as a parties standards by 40 years ago.... thats not even an end point to many of their careers. Many are still in office from that time.
