How can anyone be sure that Obama's "outside" helpers weren't up to the same kind of crap?

You must be a Republican. I gather that from your sense of honor which mostly wants to point out that other people are probably doing bad things too as if that meant anything. But in the end you are right anyway... if not this time and in this case then in others. What would anyone expect out of politicians that implement such a disaster to start with?

The funny thing is that if I were to conclude things from who owns these companies I'd say that the Republicans were "behind" this and had premium access to "hacking the US election". Anonymous, however, just demonstrated that in fact ANYONE can do it.

Actually, I see Bull as a Non Republican Conservative.

Or as an actual conservative, rather than some sort of bizarre paste up of a Victorian free trader and one of the mouthpiece characters Robert Heinlein used to write into his fiction who couldn't shut up with the sub Ayn Rand blather for the length of any page they spent onstage.
Looking at some of what the Republican leaning posters come out with in here, there aren't any Republican conservatives, but there's all sorts of conservative reactionaries in a variety of (mostly unpleasant) flavours...

Any more, moon, Conservatives aren't Republicans. Over the past 3 decades, Republicans have morphed into this bunch of Bible beating plutocrats.

Moonhead -> RE: Did Anonymous save the election? (11/27/2012 4:49:27 AM)

I'd feel a bit of sympathy for the old school conservatives in the GOP if they'd demonstrated any serious objection to their party morphing into a freakish gang of fundamentalist sociopaths who'd be a lot happier if feudalism made a comeback and the hoi palloi weren't allowed to vote anymore. There's only about half a dozen Republican senators I can think of who have breathed a word of protest about that since the '90s, and all but one of them had to apologise to Rush Limbaugh, while the last morphed from a not far right of centre Eisenhower wannabe into a spineless monetarist freak who spent most of his 2008 campaign fawning and grovelling to the religious right and those party members who think that Atlas Shrugged is a guide to success, not a terrible warning...

who bought an election? If anyone did it would be Obama. He spent 5 times the amount as Romney. If anyone cheated it was the democrats. They were the ones pushing to vote with out ID and to get illegals to vote.

Has it ever crossed your mind to actually know what you are talking about before you fill your post with this mind numbing ignorance?

This pointless conjecture and baseless rumor is why you turn these types of things over to the legal authorities,

Perhaps you can tell us what the legal authorities did when smedley butler ratted off to congress the plan to kidnap roosevelt?

I don't believe it matters all that much anymore. We are closer to the "social cliff" than I had thought prior to this election. I suspect certain chess boards shall be revisited and at least the appearance of alternative strategies shall emerge. However, contrary to the popular belief of the experts on this site and the vast majority of others the "wealthy/bad guys" want Obama to succeed in his "socialist" quest.

Perhaps you should learn what that word means before you use it so freely and ignorantly.

Perhaps you should acquire and read a history book written for someone beyond the fifth grade before you fill your post with such mind numbing ignorance about the history of my country.

The hell you say.

Sorry Mr. Revisionist, but the company store was given away over two decades ago, and I am not alone in pointing to the exact culprit, along with those who voted for him in 1980 and 1984.

Whether "the government is the problem" was true or not up to that point, Reagan made damn sure that 'government' would be a huge problem for its own citizens, not to mention the rest of the world, for many years beyond his term.

His idea of 'less government' consisted of appointing every corporate CEO and super-lobbyist and whatever other functionaries of same to all the (what were previously) regulatory agencies and top Cabinet positions, and the pattern, with various slight alterations, has held ever since.

Or perhaps you were in a well appointed cave at the time that GD Searle's Donald Rumsfeldt, Halliburton's Dick Cheney, Bechtel Corp.'s Casper Weinberger and George Schultz, Wendy Gramm, the (then) soon-to-be board member of Enron as reward for her assiduously not doing her job while Chair of the Commodities Futures Trading Commission, or Goldman Sachs' Henry Paulson as Sec. of the Treasury, or ... all the others from that sector were let into the hen house.

Well, that's a partial list, anyways, of what is a rather sizable corporately staffed roster of what can only euphemistically be called 'government.'

So, no argument from this corner, a 'government' such as that most certainly presents a large number of problems.

We simply turned on Fox that night to see what their take was on the election before Ohio was called. His melt down was priceless.

I heard about Rove's meltdown but didn't go looking for the video until today. Is this is? http://deadspin.com/5958372/karl-rove-in-denial-melts-down-on-fox-news-attempts-to-get-network-to-rescind-calling-election

I'm no Rove fan, but all I see is a bit of denial and a lot of "too soon to call."

That's only part of it. This is the whole thing
