The real financial dommes aren't just out for the cash and they incorporate a hell of a lot more into their D/s dynamic than just "fuck you, pay Me." Block and move on.

If they're contacting you for tribute (because finDommes shouldn't be running around contacting people--I know I don't) then report them and move on.

There is no mill. We are not under duress. You'll learn to weed out the obvious fakes and hit ignore. I personally hide every findomme profile that I see that asks for cash and/or gifts up front. That's tacky as hell.

I was attempting to be kind.

FinDommes are an aberration, and a weed, growing where no weeds should grow.

I typically follow Littlewonder's advice. I simply hide the profiles that I don't want to see, and I never have to worry about them again. This works 90% of the time. Sure, new ones pop up regularly that have to be hidden, but it doesn't take much work to do so.

But as Joshua69 said, sometimes they just keep on coming. Like earlier this week, I logged on and was surprised to see a bunch of profiles that I had never seen before. I hide profiles so frequently that when I log on, I typically only see the same small selection of profiles. But this time, I logged on and my entire home page was filled with profiles that I had never seen before. There were approximately 25 new profiles that I had never seen before. So I clicked on all of them, and guess what? They were all between the ages of 18-25. The profiles were allegedly located in different parts of the country, but all of the profiles were worded similarly. They didn't all have the exact same words, but there were very similar themes in all of them. You know, the stereotypical "On your knees bitches. You're not worthy of a true goddess like me. So I'm going to rape your piggie wallets. If you e-mail me without first sending tribute, your sorry ass will be blocked!"

Everyone knows that I usually defend the financial Dommes on CollarMe. But in this instance, it bothered me. I'm not in favor of banning findommes. But I am in favor of not allowing one person to create 25 different findomme profiles. Particularly when they all claim to be in different cities, yet they all come from the same IP address.

IMO, there is no reason to allow one IP address to have multiple profiles on here. Sure, there may be family members that share the same computer. So perhaps the system should have a default that allows no more than 5 profiles from the same IP address. That should cover the needs of most families or poly households. IMO, allowing 20+ profiles from the same IP address is just begging scammers to come on here and take advantage of people.

I may be wrong, but I think this approach will allow the legitimate pro Dommes and financial Dommes to continue to thrive. After all, they tend to only have one profile. So real findommes, like Fetish Eden or Allison Wilder, would be unaffected by the change. But scammers who create multiple profiles would be stopped cold.

It may not be a perfect solution, but it might help to eliminate the worst offenders.

I actually really like that idea that you just stated about one IP address person. A better verification process would hopefully weed out those who aren't truly into this lifestyle. Financial domination is about more than just money and unfortunately there are so many subs who want to simply use up time and have their fantasies met while not satisfying their Mistress. Hence why tributes are asked for.

I almost always log into CM (and everywhere else) from an anonymous proxy based in a country with tighter privacy laws than the United States. The anonymity service I use is fairly popular, and a lot of other people use the same IP. I would imagine some even surf CM with it.

Because of the potential (and history) of abuse, the proxy I use is blocked from editing Wikipedia pages. Their procedure is that I would have to write to an admin, demonstrate good faith that I'm not a vandal, and then I'd get a password to log in with. I haven't bothered to do that, but I've been thinking of helping with a project there, so I might at some point.

The formula that IP = identity does not hold at this point in the history of the internet, so I can see why the site owners are cautious about doing anything.

There are MANY into financial domination on both sides of the kneel.
Like any other aspect of this lifestyle there are those that use their power to abuse subs.
Like any other aspect of this lifestyle there are those who are not what they claim.

As far as not having more than 1 profile on here from the same IP address. What if there are 2 people in the same house hold who are members here? Like having pros mark a button there are way to many flaws IMO.

My all time favorite findomme thread is the resurrected queen, always will be. You gotta be pretty creative to top that one. My favorite educated findomme thread was Rochsub's thread.

Now, for my two cents....I agree with Allyson on this one, I have never nor will I ever contact anyone. And My profile states upfront what I am so there is no confusion. I think there is room for everyone (including the zombie findommes that yell "caaaaaasssshhhh" lol). LittleWonder has the right idea, hide the user and move on. Have we really gotten that lazy here that we can't click a button? I do however understand that on this site, findommes pop up like weeds, however it is the interwebz.

Also I wanted to point out that the only bashing of findommes I see are when they come to the DISCUSSION side and attempt to wrangle up money. For the love of God, do not do that. If one is supposed to be an all knowing perfect Goddess, then how the hell come they can't read??? Collarchat!! I am a findomme and I have quite a few friends over here that I have great convo and discussions with. I remember when I was brand new and started out with some dumb ass profile talking about how awesome I was and how the piggies should bow to me...*rolls eyes* although, I always had My rent,lol. I agree with the above poster. I am a findom. I am verified on findoms.com and I enjoy the lifestyle. Apparently there was a poster about here being fake. I hate to see some bad apples ruining it for the bunch of us.
