I have done it with both personal slaves and as part of my web site - a lot of subs (understatement) really enjoy the idea of being given orders and then having to complete tasks and being made *accountable* (ie, having to send a report, send proof, etc) and competing for either a prize or being ranked. The training aspect of my site is part of the membership side, but an entire training from 2000 (archived) is free to look at and you can always just do those lessons (but not turn in the homework) if you just feel like messing around. They are on the far left hand side of this page toward the bottom:

There are usually trainings on my site, either starting up or ending, depending on my work schedule in my 'real job' and how much free time I have to 'grade the lessons' (lol). Is it enjoyable? For me, "evaluating" a large group of submissive "homework" satisfies kind of a "teacher urge" that I have always had. Keeping things organized, looking for the 'star student,' looking for the diamond in the rough, getting excited about the new potential each time around. But it's a lot of logistics and work keeping track of everything. It's fun coming up with the lessons.

On a PERSONAL level, yes, I do enjoy online training. But before the Internet, I also enjoyed "making" men write me letters. I would give them topics. Make them write me stories. Give them tasks and make them write about it. I liked the allure of having "mysterious kinky penpals" even. I had some long distance kinky penpals I found through personals in newspapers, finding them in the UK. With the Internet, it's fun to get pictures, videos, etc. of proof.

What has to exist though? Chemistry! And that cannot be faked. If I dominate a man online for personal arousal, I have to be attracted to him - physically, emotionally, intellectually, some combination of all three. Most men looking for online domination tend to want it fast, now, now now now now.....and no strings. That's why the online "trainings" on my site are so popular. It's no-strings.

AAkasha. Thank you for replying to my post! It's refreshing to get the kind of insight you have. I guess I'd be in the non-quick and dirty category. I'm looking for a connection with someone. If I don't have that then there's not as much motivation to do the work. I have to want to please my Mistress with a job well done. :)

Thank you for the apology. It's nice to see a guy who can manage to listen and absorb constructive criticism. However, I don't see an opening coming up in my polycule any time in the foreseeable future. All of us are long-haul people so we're planning to have many wonderful years together. It's been a long time since He and I had to communicate via the internet (not counting the random instant message I get from work telling me to go buy milk). During those times the orders he gave me were usually pretty practical - make sure you're in bed at a reasonable time, remember your exercises, budget for this event. On the rare occasion it was a sexual order, it was because we were working towards something we would be doing the next time we saw each other.

The thing is, when you have that in-person connection, the orders can relate directly to your life together and your goals. Each order he gave me would impact him directly in the long run by making sure I was healthy, organised, had the skills he wanted... When it's online only there's something missing. The tasks aren't of any direct benefit to the dom (there's only so many cam shows you can give, and they tend to appeal to the man more than the woman) which for me, defeats the object of submitting. That's not to say you can't enjoy it, but for me personally it wouldn't work.

Ya know, when Master and I were long distance, I can't really think of any orders he would give me online except to make sure I was eating, sleeping, keeping appointments, going to work, taking care of my daughter; just the everyday, normal things that everyone should be doing with their lives. I guess without real life, face to face human contact, him giving orders just did nothing at all for either of us.
