Perhaps but the moment there is a real life relationship and someone else is actually conferring that title then it's good enough for me.

Agreed.

New folks getting replies like this, when they ask a question nicely, is one of the reasons I think the forums are slowing down.

To the OP, take the positive advice offered, and forget the negative. Eventually, I am sure yall will find the groove that works for the two of you.

Have you done much non-fiction reading?

Screw the Roses, Give me the Thorns is a good primer. Do a search for BDSM books and you should find a great book list.

Join your local munch and make friends, eventually you will be invited to play parties. I've found play parties a great place to to improve my skills AND get great ideas.

The whole 'training' concept appears to be a mystery to many, probably b/c people use it in such different contexts.

I agree with Jeff, if your slave calls you Master, you are a Master to her, what the rest of us think hardly matters.
