yugla -> Maximum length to a thread entry? or... (12/24/2012 5:00:35 AM)

Is there a maximum word count for a new post n the ...message boards? Forum boards? what ever this portion on CM is referred as where you are reading this Forum Post.

I am trying to determine if a question that came to mind is too detailed and long to post or something in the HTML text formatting is not proper or because of the nature of post and opinions sought it is filtered by web bot apps; perhaps replace some key words is all that is wrong -like mention of other web based social networking sights?

Since the post can fit as a journal entry, but it had to be broken up into 3 parts, presumably because of its length I am unsure how to proceed with it in the forum section <OFF TOPIC>

You could ask people to read your journal entry and answer in the thread. Or give the background in the journal entry, referring to it in your thread, while asking just the bare bones questions in the thread.

That is a good idea.

Since I apparently can not comprehend the message boards and my journal entry survived the web bots...

. . . based on my journal entry what are your thoughts regarding:

"What are the villages peoples' thoughts?
Do you associate your self as a single villager or the history writer? Why do many in the online community act like the hiding towns people when the kings men come into town to rape and pillage; if I close my eyes you can't see me? "

Hey it's xmas!

JeffBC -> RE: Maximum length to a thread entry? or... (12/24/2012 10:19:14 PM)

Allow me to be blunt.

Your writing is atrocious... to the point of barely being comprehensible. I'm not entirely sure what it is you're on about at all but I think I got two issues out of that whole mess.

A) Collarme doesn't respond to DMCA takedown notices.
*sigh* As if Collarme had the legal guns or desire to take on hollywood. Yes, they do respond to DMCA takedown notices. Not only is that simply common sense but they have for me. And I really didn't need to jump through any massive hoops.

B) There are too many fakes on this site
I can't really speak to that. For starters I'm not really sure what constitutes a "fake". Secondly, I don't inhabit the dating side and so whatever is going on there wouldn't be visible to me. But I have to assume that the site owners make money from this site and try to maximize that earning by doing whatever it is that they do. So about the only thing I can recommend is that if you find it unworkable for you then you should leave. Feel free to drop the site a short & polite email on your way out the door. If enough folks do that and the CM business starts faltering I imagine they'll see what they can do.

Muttling -> RE: Maximum length to a thread entry? or... (12/24/2012 10:40:10 PM)

I've always been told that size doesn't matter.

littlewonder -> RE: Maximum length to a thread entry? or... (12/24/2012 10:51:36 PM)

so this makes how many "fakes" post this week already? Anyone wanna wager bets on how many will be posted before the holidays are over with everyone being off work and out of school with nothing better to do? I'm guessing about 10 more.

Hi Jeff,

Happy holidays and thank you for your thoughts.

Writing is not my forte. It is a long history to read to get the back ground to get to the final question. I am wondering based on your comments if my journal even reads as I see it!

From what you wrote and reading your profile I gather you and your wife are not on CM to meet others; you are not on the dating side as you said so perhaps my journal post does not relate to you as you are not using collar me to meet others in the life style.

>For starters I'm not really sure what constitutes a "fake". <
I described that in detail regarding my findings one morning at 6 am.

If you and your wife are only on CM to ... well actually reading your profile I am not sure that you are seeking anything on CM or if you use it as a social networking tool to meet others in the lifestyle. If that is the case then you are neither the agitated villagers or the kings men as I referenced in an analogy and this thread does not relate to you.

From what I infer by your reply and to elaborate:

>A) Collarme doesn't respond to DMCA takedown notices.
*sigh* As if Collarme had the legal guns or desire to take on hollywood. Yes, they do respond to DMCA takedown notices. Not only is that simply common sense but they have for me. And I really didn't need to jump through any massive hoops. <'

I do not believe DMCA applies in this case. The fake profile was not an educational nor research nor review for the purpose of critiquing for access to the public on a web based social networking medium. It was a fake profile using an other's likeness.

Perhaps it was the luck of the draw for you and your wife dealing with CM support. Perhaps since your profile is rather sparse of images clearly showing your faces or they did not have that 'adult web marketing look' -like the image links on the side of CM on the dating side- CM did not care if they deleted a fake profile upon your request. It was not that easy for my friend. I read the replies - if they even would reply!- Support's replies were just ludicrous!

Clearly the women sleeping next to me was the real XXXXXX and what turned our to be a rather obese aging on line financial domme using XXXXXX's stolen pictures to ... not sure what it was trying to do . . . get money through on line tribute? Live out an on line fantasy as a younger attractive desirable female? include a co workers yahoo email account so some unsuspecting vanilla catholic girl she worked with and detested would find her in box filled with disgusting replies from the dredges of society? Regardless of what its intentions were it was using the likeness of XXXXXX to do so. Contacting 'it' via the tools available to subscribers did not stop it from continually to post numerous likenesses of XXXXX that it claimed was her.

I do not understand what you mean by >As if Collarme had the legal guns or desire to take on hollywood<

All we offered and asked was, we will prove to you that I am the real XXXXXX and please contact the fake Pennsylvania profile or delete it. By doing so it makes it burdensome for these fake profiles to continue to infest what to my belief was supposed to be a bona fide on line web based social networking sight catering to the BDSM life style.

Maybe I have mistook CM all these years to think it had a purpose on the dating side .
But if you read in the forums there are many M / F / D / s / slave who praise CM for introducing them to their LTR - long term relationship.

That is not the thrust of my question.

If you read <REED - future tense> my journal as that appears to be the only way I can get it past the web bots simply put, What position do you take on this?

Be Well

PS by your statement >so this makes how many "fakes" post this week already? <

I am gathering there are a numerous posts. I will take that to reiterate what I and many others see is typical. Does that bother you that a sight that purports to be bona fide perhaps may not be? Do you use CM as a social networking tool to meet others in the life style?

If you are referring to the number of allowed characters in ones single journal entry or a new forum post I would disagree as my initial forum post could only be placed as a journal entry but needed to be broken into three entries.

Apparently you came across a photo stolen from your wife. If your wife can prove the photo is hers, then report it to support and eventually they'll delete it. You might consider marking photos in the future.

If you're complaining about the time it takes, well that's the result of this being a free site, not one with unlimited funds.

I have no idea what you mean by villagers.

If he is reporting it to support that is his problem.

TO THT OP:

http://www.collarme.com/personals/stolen.htm is the link that needs to be used. It does not require just reporting it. Your wife needs to take another photo with a sign that says Collarme and the date. You also need to follow all the directions contained in that link. If you do not, your report will not be processed. If you do follow directions, it will be processed. Easy peasy

littlewonder -> RE: Maximum length to a thread entry? or... (12/25/2012 10:12:58 PM)

What do I think of fakes? One person's fake is another person's dream come true.

If I were you, I would do a search of all the fake threads on here. You will get an idea just what is thought of posts such as yours.

BTW, I'm a fake. Actually, I'm really a figment of your imagination. I don't even exist at all.

I have read many thoughts over the years and spoke in person to many about the change in web based social networking sights. Perhaps posting such a question on what seems to be mainly a blogging or chat forum only omits any opinions of users, both female and male who use CM as a social networking tool.

>One person's fake is another person's dream come true. <
That is a rather scary thought. What do you mean by that?

From what you wrote you sound like CM has surpassed being a village of agitated townspeople that are still aware of their consciousness and now this virtual reality is their consciousness. [GULP - YIKES]

>Apparently you came across a photo stolen from your wife.

I did not state that. I am not married.

>If he is reporting it to support that is his problem.

TO THE OP:
http://www.collarme.com/personals/stolen.htm

Stolen images was a not the main thought of this post. That was years ago. I am not sure what avenues my ex GIRLFRIEND exhausted to get a clearly fake profile to sop using her likeness. If she did contact support why weren't they smart enough to email back the URL link and the instructions you so kindly made sound so simple to resolve?

Littlewonders' agitated response makes me think of the movie Inception but here the dreaming do not even know they are dreaming. It also conveys the idea that the dreamers do not want to know or hear that they are dreaming. An addiction?

I know I am treading on dangerous waters asking members of an adult web based dating sight to be reminded of the obvious and give opinions to this virtual reality, when to many, this is their only reality.

What she means (and as has been stated in most of the fake threads she referenced) is that just because you deem someone a fake does not mean that the very same person wouldn't be the ultimate ideal for someone else.

I answered what was here. You state that the photo problem was years ago, yet you have a comment about it CURRENTLY in your profile, hence I thought it must be current. My bad.

Sheesh I am appalled.
