Hello all, Dom male here,

So i log on to my profile today, and i try to send 1 msg, and it says ive been "spam filtered"

1. Never have i ever copy pasted a message, always original, always 2+ sentences...

I'm wondering what the limits are to sending messages so this doesn't happen again... and now it wont let me upload more pictures... this all is annoying.

Please give me advice on this.

Thanks.

Hi there.

What it means is that a certain number of recipients - collarme won't say how many - reported your messages as being copy-and-paste spam.

In other words, even though you thought that you had made original messages, they didn't come off that way. Try referring to something in the profile, such as a mentioned hobby, etc.

Welcome to the forums.

Probably 24 hours, but I'm guessing.

You may be writing women who specify they want to hear from men who have qualities you don't, such as being local to them, or over 30, or have pictures. Some use the spam button for messages from people who ignore their requirements.

If you send me a sample first message, I will be happy to critique it.

Sample 1- (replied to) would you be willing to come to LA?

:) i have many more pictures as well...

Sample 2- are you still available to be a slave? (never read)

Sample 3- Sydney,

I believe you are what i am looking for... would love to chat with you sometime, either via email or text, take a look at my profile and let me know what you feel.

Chris

there you are.. in hindsight it is possible some messages seemed generic... but most included something off of their profile that personalized it. (most)

Sorry, Chris, they come off as generic.

Let me pick on kalikshama as an example. Let's pretend that she's local (because she plastered all over her profile that she only wants a local Dom). She has all kinds of things in her profile that could be used as hooks to open a conversation. Examples:

Excuse my ignorance - what does NELA stand for?

So you like to cook? I've got a killer chicken recipe - what are your favorite dishes?

You seem to be poly-inclined, with the first step of getting a mono relationship going and then adding a bi woman. I've always heard that it's hard as heck to get a third to join in - how have you done that in the past?

*********************

See? It took me a few minutes to read her profile, and I pulled out things from it to start a conversation with. In the ensuing conversation, I would try to do two things: to assess whether she was what I was looking for, and to see whether I was what she was looking for. I always assume that kink compatibility is a given if vanilla compatibility is assured. That's a bit assumptive, but a Dom male and a sub female will be mostly compatible bdroom-wise.

Personally, they sound generic to me and I get tons of those types of emails in the exact same wording. I either delete them as unread or hit the spam button when I do. You sound just like every other spam email all women receive.

Try actually reading their profiles and personalizing it. Why would I want to respond to someone's email who simply asks if I'm available or not? And why in any way, shape or form would I be willing to move to LA for someone I know nothing at all about except that he wrote me an email asking me if I'd move there? WTF?

With these examples, I am absolutely not surprised that you are currently tagged with the spam filter. I'm not saying this as a personal insult but not only are the above very generic, they also sound like they are coming from creepy guy.

How many women do you know that are willing to visit a city for somebody they have never met? Do you introduce yourself in the vanilla world by asking if women want to be your wife and/or intimate partner from the first hello? The third thing is a random drive by that women get by the hundreds on this site. In short, you are displaying very limited knowledge of common social skills. Kink or not, that is a darn quick way for women to report you for spam and use the hide/block features.

Lady pact,

Actually i am very good with women in the online world, on another site i clean up getting numbers left and right, i'm a good looking guy with game, but your criticism is noted, i suppose i took the wrong tact to get my message out to too many women at once. On this platform it seems the name of the game is about 4 sentences that are super relevant to the person.

And yes in the vanilla world you do say stupid one liners (not planned), and you will get rejected, but guess what sometimes you don't get rejected why? Because the woman likes how you look or the way you said the one liner. With my approach i was merely trying to fast forward the process. In fact i have had some success on here in the 1 day i have been on the site, so don't kill my approach.

I do appreciate your criticism, and it's all gravy im a big boy and i'm glad.

The one thing i don't like is that the site doesn't warn you particularly about any spam filter, so even a guy like me who is capable of writing many many many things in my day or two in bed (with a broken leg), doesn't get flagged .

The tactics i used did work on some. They are good looking and what i want... so am i a spammer? Besides past the first 2 sentences, then the deep conversation for me happens. I don't go up to a person and explain my life story to them... i keep it light at first.

These emails all cross the line of being inappropriately personal as a first email from a complete stranger. It sends off major red flags if someone messages me wanting an instant relationship or instant rapport. I never respond to those types of emails and I do report them as spam no matter if it is obvious that the sender read my profile or not. I agree with LadyPact, these messages seem creepy. I'd say very creepy.

As a woman, if a man takes inappropriate liberties with personal boundaries from the very start it seems threatening to me. You may not think that asking someone to travel to you, or asking them about their sexual orientation, or saying that they might be the perfect person for you is inappropriate, but please imagine you walking up to someone on the street and saying any one of those 3 things. I wouldn't be surprised if that woman wouldn't call the police, because you just don't approach strangers with those topics as straight out of the box first conversation.

I'm glad that you are having such success! I was a bit concerned in your suggestion that the site doesn't let people know about spam. Happily, I noticed that the spam policy of the site hasn't changed, the topic is still able to be located on the 'Help/common questions board, and is still accessible by the search feature.

I very much look forward to your future posts in the Positive Experiences forum.

Me, too, OP. I apologize for crafting personalized messages for kalikshama and wasting your time with them.

Haha, you guys made me smile... i am changing my tact, and do realize it is a bit presumptuous... good advice, and i'm a man that likes constructive criticism....

When the "spam filter" is engaged ... how long must i wait? it's been almost 2 days... also i cannot even upload a pic, which is getting annoying because well... it's good to havea pic up.

I am actually a very deep soul and capable of high intellectual conversation, so i guess my ice breaker should be a bit more zesty.

I am only trying to be helpful but this is the second time in this thread you've misused "tact".

The word you're looking for is: "... changed my tack". Tack is a sailing term which has to do with changing the sails to change the direction in which the vessel is headed.

"Tact" is what I hope I've exhibted in this post.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Thanks

Sorry i don't know about how long it takes to get the spam filter reset.

i do have a question which nobody seems to have addressed. How MANY contacts do you try to make in each day? Maybe you need to be selective and write to only 2 or 3 in a single day. Use the rest of your time to read some of the forums and get to know the folks who post to them. Interact with people on the forums. You might try some of the games or the "I admit" threads. When you find someone on the other side who looks interesting, look at their forum posts. Start a conversation in the forum on the forum topic.

If you are contacting many more than 2 or 3 in one day, it's like walking into a party and propositioning every girl in the room. What would happen if ALL the girls said yes?

Fluffy,

Thanks for the response.
Contacting 2 or 3 in a single day in my opinion is inefficient ... 10 a day is a more reasonable number initially, to guage interest... once you get some responses, obviously that stops. You must know that online many people aren't really even a real profile, or they create it for entertainment. Therefore, it's not like the real world where i can actually see the goods... online there is so much deception, which is why my approach to more people gets me to where i want to be much faster. It worked for me on a dating site to perfection. They won't all say yes... i promise you that, no matter how good your game, out of 10, only 3 maximum will be seriously interested, in my case i narrow that down to 1, or have 3 slaves :)

Actually, some will report you as spam if you don't meet their criteria and email them anyway.

i disagree! Relationships - kink or otherwise are not a matter for "efficiency". Are you desperate? Do you have a time line for finding someone? If you were contacting me for a relationship (keep in mind i am not available), i would like to think i was the only one ... that you were really interested in ME and not a 100 (10 contacts times 10 days) others.

Welcome to the forums. Have a nice day.
