I know fair few of us fancy ourselves in the kitchen at least...

So what's on the stove top or in the oven tonight?

My Wench is back today after spending the holidays looking after sick folk so:-

Home made pizza for tonight. My own base and sauce with toppings to suit indivdual taste and dietary preference (aka no jalapeno's for the Wench but extra perroni and cheese)

With a wine, game and root veg stew simmering on the wood burner to provide the rest of the weekends meals....I hope not have time to cook ;-)

Today I'm cleaning up some leftovers....but tomorrow.....I'm gonna make swedish meatballs swimming in gravy on a bed of hot buttered egg noodles, with sauteed mushrooms and some fresh asparagus spears

Beef with String Beans - not my favorite Thai dish, but I had ground beef and green beans to use, so it was perfect. Here's the cookbook.

I've been making a lot of Pad Sei Ew lately - yum! (Page 66.)

In the course of a nice first date, I discovered an Asian store and stocked up. No second date, but now I have ingredients for Thai recipes :)

A re-do of Christmas dinner: ham, turkey legs, dressing, mac n cheese, english peas, rolls, and key lime pie. We salvaged the rum cake from Christmas Day.

I may make rum balls tonight. The last batch didn't live long enough to be rolled, lol.

Tonight it's Chinese take-out from our favorite, amazing place.

Tomorrow I don't know yet; he hasn't decided what he wants me to cook.

That looks so good! I have been doing all kinds of things with green beans lately, and there is one more idea. Thanks!

If I'm too sick to cook I get Hot & Sour Soup from a Chinese restaurant. Otherwise, I make regular chicken soup or Thai Chicken and Coconut Soup (Tom Ka Gai) and throw in enough hot peppers to clear my sinuses.

It is a boring night.  S'ghetti and garlic bread.  I did not even bother to put carrots in the sauce.

So sorry to hear, I literally just got over being sick. I still have stuffy head and cough but as far as being "about to die", I'm passed that part; thank God.

Generic Dude is sick as a dog so I just dug some red pasta sauce out of the freezer and made a small batch of spaghetti noodles to have with it. I hadn't eaten all day and was HUNGRY.

Going to make a couple pots of soup over the next few days and probably cook up the octopus I bought, at some point.

Still working on Christmas leftovers here, too, but did omelets (ham) for something a bit different. I told MP that he should expect chef's salad for tomorrow night. We still have both ham and turkey to finish off.

Soon to come, split pea soup.

(Sorry you're not feeling well, Des.)
