...and while I will gleefully engage in SM play with just about anyone male or female (I'm an equal opportunity sadist), i'm not going to be a sperm-donor or recipient.

YIK,

That brings up and interesting sub-topic Geoff.  If you will play with someone of the same gender, however not engage in sexual intercourse of some fashion with them (and please, let's not get on the topic of what defines sex), does that make you bi-sexual?  I think We know your feelings on it though Geoff ;)

IvyQuinn -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/20/2006 3:49:34 PM)

Hey, i reckon most people are bi-curious at some time in their lifes. Some people (mainly men) dont do anything about these feeling because they are worried about how this will look. These feelings usually appear in puberty and may only last for a day or so, but in some people they may have dreams about the same sex, have a crush on someone of the same sex, and alot kiss a person of the same sex.
Alot of people, mainly women in this day and age, do try bi-sexuality just to try it out, be adventurous. Women having sex, isnt penetrative in all cases, but some men, even if they ARE bi-curious, refuse to have sex with a man, because they (in the words i was told by a male friend of mine) feel like they have "been violated"
I am in a sexual oriantation known as pansexual, which means that i fall for the person for who they are, not their gender.
At the end of the day, we were given these bodies to live, and to experience new things, to explore our minds and bodies, so why not do it?

Well now ... I'm not Geoff but I'd like to respond to that...
I play with other women ... when I top, females are my preference- not because it arouses me sexually ... but because I like thier wimpers & screams .. they do it so nicely! [:D]

I was curious as to how many of you, Dom or sub, male or female, have listed in your profile that you are Straight, but are actually bi-curious, or bi-sexual under very limited circumstances?

~ LD

I'm listed as bisexual. I don't say how that breaks down since I can just decide if I'm interested based on how I feel about that person when we are chatting.

Ivy, you say you're pansexual, but your profile says you're a lesbian, and you say men's genitalia makes you "heave" LOL.....

Otherwise, a solid post.

zumala -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/21/2006 7:59:35 AM)

I'm perfectly straight.  I find nothing erotic about other females.  I tend to actually feel embarrassed for those who felt they had to go have a boob job done.  I swear too many of them look like they have water balloons just beneath the skin that could pop at any moment.  PFD (personal flotation devices)!

I can appreciate a female with a good figure.  It's a candid observation and an acknowledgement of good symmetry or balance in form.  I honestly can say that I'm not aroused by any female, though.

IronBear -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/21/2006 8:30:35 AM)

Reading zuma's post, I was reminded of how easy iy is to be thought either gay or bi simply because you can recognise and admire the beauty of people of the same sex as you are. I've always enjoyed good photography and especially photos of people. Now I do prefer black and white for the simple, stark and yet delicate contrasts and outlines at times.. Nude and semi nudes I enjoy yet I am rarely impressed with porography other than porno for porno's sake. Most times when I meet people, I tend to see them as though through the lense of a camera and how they would photograph. I probably see as many beautiful men, handsom men as I do beautiful women and handsom women. None of this has to do with sex but rather to do with pure art....

If you can look in the mirror and honestly say "Damn I look GOOOOOD tonight" or even "This top/shirt/whatever suits me" then hey, guess what, you can see something attractive in a same sex figure!

Personaly it depends on how the definition is made.... When it comes to sex.... I have never found any male who 'pushed my buttons' so to speak... either I'm straight or never met "The right man" [:D]

However when I flirt, I do so because flirting is fun and frankly, if it moves and I'm in a flirty mood, I'll flirt with it. Regardless of gender or attractivness..... Sense of humour and a person I get on with are all that is required.... Does that make me not straight in some peoples eyes?.... If it does, do I give a monkeys?.... that would be a no then [;)]

aellea -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/21/2006 8:45:34 AM)

i am not bi however the human female body in what i call perfect feminity is the most gorgeous thing to see.  the curves and smooth contours is absoltutely awe inspiring.  add movement and light and one could cry at the beauty

the first time i told my closest g/f who is strictly vanilla that i loved her she freaked out,  i had to explain that i loved her as a sister which she is to me, a chosen sister.

anyone that sees me admire a female for some reason for other assumes that i'm bi... i am just appreciating what the spirits have wraught!

IvyQuinn -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/21/2006 11:32:51 AM)

Nowadays i wouldnt sleep with a man, and yes, i do find the male genetalia ugly, and yes, i am in a lesbian relationship, but i would not rule out being with a man again, should i ever split with my fiancee.
I dont think saying i would never sleep with a man again, would be much use, as i might!!

SusanofO -> RE: Sexual Orientation (6/21/2006 11:40:20 AM)

I am straight -but I could probably do bi for a scene if someone wanted me to do that (I have had fantasies, but I've never acted on them). Still, it is usually the person I am attracted to most (although I think a hot body and handsome or beautiful face are great  - I almost always am attracted to men, (98% of the time) but - who knows what could happen if I was really liking a woman sometime? I am not ruling it out.

Umm. . . that was for humor value.  I have stated on the switch board several times that we (Switches) are not pathalogically incapable of making up our minds.  Add to that the fact that I am bi-sexual. . . well you can see where the confusion lies.

But if you could make up your mind, you wouldn't be a switch.  Or bisexual.

JUST MAKE UP YOUR DAMN MIND, AND STOP CONFUSING ME!!!

Next thing you'll tell me is you eat rice AND pasta, depending on the day......

Yours,

benji

Rice AND Pasta... I think that you have to draw a line somewhere and that is mine.  Bisexuality is one thing (and what a glorious thing it is!!) but the indiscriminate consumption of those carbs can only lead to chaos if you ask me.

You didn't actually ask me but there you have it.
