Status: offline 		I was curious as to how many of you, Dom or sub, male or female, have listed in your profile that you are Straight, but are actually bi-curious, or bi-sexual under very limited circumstances?

I have it in my profile. . .

But, that said, a reason not for listing it in a profile is to prevent every whanker that has ever dreamed of having a three-some with two females from emailing you.  Or if you meet them in meatlife, from asking you to do it. 

Note to whankers. . . Three-somes, much like communism, look really good on paper, but rarely work out. 

And just because I am a bi-sexual switch does not mean that I am pathalogically incapable of making up my mind!

Why be so defensive, if you are comfortable with your choices there is no need to defend them.

As for the OP, i am listed as bi in my profile-- although i have considered changing it to straight as i have no interest in anyone other than my Dom.

The opposite is true in my case.. I selected the "Bi" option because while i don't usually seek to be intimate with a lone female(although there have been times) I can't say that i am completely hetero. I certainly can and do find females to be sensual and erotic. I generally prefer a Male presence when with a female, but there was  not  a "situationally Bi" option.

While I've never had a 'girlfriend'...I've been with a few women (and long before my interest in bdsm, oddly) and lusted after a few more. 

I'm primarily hetro...couldn't partner up with a woman...(dang, do you KNOW how 'political' that is?), but I try to be as honest in my profile as I can.  Mine states I'm 'bi', too.

Course...there IS always the 'woo-hoo' factor when a Dom reads that little piece of information...     heh heh heh

Status: offline 		Kinsey looks at sexual orientation as a continuum, and I think that's very appropriate.  There's homosexual at one end, heterosexual at the other - and a lot of space in between.   Just as one doesn't necessarily fall into "dominant", "submissive" or "switch", one doesn't necessarily fit "straight", "bisexual" or "gay". 

Declaring oneself "bisexual" online for women is an open invitation for boys trolling for threesomes with another women (but rarely an offer for a threesome with 2 men which might actually be interesting).  Such approaches are usually crude and work on the assumption that bisexual = willing to do anyone anytime.

I state I am bisexual, because I consider myself bisexual. (or pansexual or omnisexual, take whatever label of choice for "is open to relationships with all sexual orientations")

Umm. . . that was for humor value.  I have stated on the switch board several times that we (Switches) are not pathalogically incapable of making up our minds.  Add to that the fact that I am bi-sexual. . . well you can see where the confusion lies. 

I am not really defensive. . . I was chuckling to myself when I wrote it because I think it sounds funny.  As my profile states. . . I have something that I use as a sense of humor.  I do not claim that it is one.
