It seems Al is more than happy to profit off the global warming industry, any way he can. It's estimated he'll pocket $100 million off the deal, in selling the failed network to the Qatar based Al Jazeera network.

Thank God the American people had the sense to reject this piece of shit, back in 2000.

Time Warner Cable have already announced they'll be dropping the channel from their lineup.

Okay, I am a democrat, and I do believe in the global warming problem or climate change as it is now called. I do not believe it is just because of human pollution.

I believe that human pollution has contributed to the acceleration of a natural cycle, and could even make it worse.

But when it comes to Gore, there are more than a few democrats who wish he would shut up, move to a 20x20 cabin in the wilds of Alaska with no means of communication, and spend the rest of his life contemplating his naval lint.

Personally I wish someone would provide proof he was the Unabomber's accomplice or something. The guy is whacked out of his mind.

Finally, he has done nothing to put a stop to the pollution of the industrial holdings of his family.

I think the people of Britain (and other European countries) who have been sceptical of global warming are starting to change their minds as they experience once again alternating drought and an autumn of deluge and destroyed crops, just as was predicted years ago by scientists who warned of global warming.

From what I understand, the USA is not immune from extreme weather predicted by global warming scientists.

Is Current tv specifically about global warming industry? I thought it was a news channel.

I mean... if it's basically a news channel, I think it's a little silly to claim that its sale is an example of "profiting" from the global warming industry. Don't you?

Can you see the complete absurdity of the statement you've just made.

This "failed" network you talk of, is worth an estimated $500m.

Now I'm sure you could very well have built a business that's worth half a billion, but something tells me that's a weeny bit unlikely.

I think it's always sad when people are so twisted in their views that they resent any success earned by the people they mindlessly vilify. I am sure that you're not one of these people, but can you see how one might get that impression from silly posts like these?

Current TV draws an audience of 42,000 for their primetime programming, Crazy. By what measure is that not a failure? I'd also suggest you Google Qatar a little, and then see if you can puzzle out where the funding for the purchase might have come from.

I might also suggest you check the New York Times reports on who won in 2000, and stop using the exhausted talking point that Gore was robbed. It's a stupid lie, and places those who spout it in the same credibiity classification as birthers.

That seems an odd description of an election in which the citizenry gave Gore 50,996,582 votes to Bush's 50,456,062. (Source: National Archives)

I realize, of course, that other factors came into play: the Electoral College, winner-take-all rules for assigning electors, whatever the hell went on in Florida, recount efforts, and Bush v. Gore. And I understand why Bush, not Gore, moved into the White House.

Still, it strikes me as a stretch to cast the election as a national rejection of Gore.

I am IN Media, and Al Jazeera is viewed world wide the same way BBC is, it is the largest middle eastern news magnet....nothing really off about any of this, buisness is buisness and the ones with the biggest resources basically do best.
