Bratty,
The blue rose symbolizes submission according to your Master. If he told you that the blue rose symbolized that the sky will darken and thunder tomorrow, then that is what it symbolizes. There is no "fact" answer for this. It is whatever your Master says it is. Take it like it was meant to be. His answer.

The only place I'd ever heard a mention of blue roses before is in Tennesee Williams's The Glass Menagerie.  And there's the old Thief of Bagdad movie with Sabu.  Never heard of it in connection with submission before, though.

Basically I agree with this, but her master said something to the effect of "not many people have heard of the blue rose of submission."  That suggests he heard about it somewhere, and didn't just make it up.  But who knows.  I agree with you that the tattoo means whatever the master says it means.

Never heard of blue roses representing submission.
My wedding bouquet was blue roses and white lilies. I just think they are pretty.

I incorporated the blue rose into all of my tats - not due to any sort of bdsm symbolism that may or may not exist - because I love the way they look, and to me (personally) they are connotative of rarity of form simply because they do not exist in nature.  Roses of any color hold the 'traditional' meanings associated with love, gentleness, beauty, etc - I simply prefer them in various shades of blue.  I had already come up with the designs for all my personal ink when I came across the Steel-Door site the first time, though it did give me a good grin when I originally read it to think that there would be people who associated me with certain practices that I Am a part of simply from seeing some of my ink.

Now i do know something about rose they were trying to make a black rose but it has turn instead to either a dark blue to black and they do have them but very rare. So i think you Master has put that on you to say how rare you are.

aks your Master he is the only one that can answer exactly what the bluerose means he should know seeing as he asked you to get it tattoed on you
