the fact that you carry means you are too insane to tell the difference between your neighbor anf the guy kicking in his door?

Some guys who carry are so insane that they can't tell the difference between a teenager who's nipped out of the house to buy sweets and a gangbanger.
Reality check.

I also liked the way he handled the bully.Cool always looks better than crazy-eyed.1st journalist I`ve seen with any guts in a long time.We could use a few more like him......... if you Brits could spare any more.

We're open to bids for Jeremy Clarkson and Julie Burchill at present.

nods nods, lemme just say that your post, is exactly what I expected, he was there to discuss gun control and his attempt to "deport" morgan....you couldnt get thru all his conspiracy theories in less than four or five hours, he should have known that and stuck to the subject.. he and his ilk are his own worst enemy. listening without the sound makes him look even more dumbarse for letting himself majorly fail, the only people who loved him were his followers.

Getting pwned by Piers Morgan is not a good advert for much of anything, is it?

Reading this thread, sanity doesn't appear to be an asset gun lovers seem to have in any great abundance. They want their toys and they'll let any drivel come out of their mouth to defend that right, they really justify their addiction with the same rational as drug users justify theirs. It really is quite enlightening in a surreal sort of way.

I own a gun... granted I dont keep it here, its at my parent's.. but I am a gun owner.

Giffords and her husband are gun owners.. even after she was shot.

This isnt just about the insanity of gun owners.

Its about the insanity of those gun owners who dont want to take the responsibility for the toys they own.

The problem with Alex performance was he did not address the audience properly.

No, the problem was going off his meds the day before the show or something.

Ban all guns and none will be able make private sales legally. Will that change the number of total gun sales? Will all the now-illegal gun sales drop compared to the legal and illegal sales now? I'm going to guess that it would, but only because there are plenty of law-abiding Citizens that will no longer buy guns. There will be more illegal gun sales (simply because all gun sales will be illegal and I don't see all the currently-legal sales ending). But, the people who have no problem committing an illegal activity with a gun will still be able to get a gun. It might take longer, but that just means that their acts will occur later, not that they won't occur at all.

I am not advocating banning all weapons. How many times do I have to say that?

Since I didn't say you did advocate that, you don't need to tell me that again. You said if you banned semi's then... yada yada yada. I took it to the next level and said if all of them were banned.

quote:

I support the NRA filing suit to prevent the destruction. I can't even imagine why you wouldn't agree with me. In the end, I can't see the NRA winning, but I can see the matter of the law being better understood/defined. I do think those guns would be destroyed - and rightly so - in the end, and there would be a more clear path going forward.

Why would I agree with you?
12-945. Sale of property
A. If after thirty days notice has been given the owner or person entitled to the property has not taken it away, the property may be sold. The proceeds shall be paid to the general fund of the jurisdiction from which the unclaimed property was received.
B. Notwithstanding subsection A of this section, if the property is a firearm, the court shall order the firearm to be sold to any business that is authorized to receive and dispose of the firearm under federal and state law and that shall sell the firearm to the public according to federal and state law, unless the firearm is otherwise prohibited from being sold under federal and state law. A law enforcement agency may trade a firearm that it has retained to a federal firearms licensed business for ammunition, weapons, equipment or other materials to be exclusively used for law enforcement purposes.

http://www.azleg.state.az.us/FormatDocument.asp?inDoc=/ars/12/00945.htm&Title=12&DocType=ARS
These guns arent waiting for someone to pick them up. They are not abandoned. They were sold by the lawful owners, since none showed up on a stolen list or a crime report.
The state now owns all those guns since the state paid for each of them.

Why would you not agree with me? We agree that the NRA isn't correct. We agree that the guns can be legally done with whatever the PD wants to do with them. Why would you not want clarified position on this?

Which means that they're exactly the sort of fuckwit who isn't smart enough to be playing with such toys in the first place, doesn't it?

There was no need to take it to the next step. Banning all weapons isnt even on the table.

Why would I agree with you? I find it all a waste of court and state time, as well as money, trying to defend against a frivolous lawsuit.

Got anything to back that up concerning the posters here or are you just beating off over your keyboard?

If only this nation had the balls to ban drugs, most crime is closely related to drugs and so our problem would be solved.

Actually there are more than a couple of posters who would NOT pass MY stability test based on their various responses over the past six months, however, I am not gonna name them.

If people want to revolt, surely there's a million better reasons already present than whatever BHO might introduce?

Sheesh, civil war isn't called for until they start actually collecting all rifles, which- to use tazzygirl's words- isn't on the table.
