I don't blame you for not connecting the dots. I have My own reasons for not doing the same. I'm actually more comfortable with not associating the exact act with the exact partner due to those concerns. The vanilla part of the sex life can be easier at times because I don't have to have the same level of concern. While I think the original was more geared to physical sensation, there is also mood and headspace to consider. Mood, as you were saying, Focus, covers that territory that runs the scale of making love to wild fucking. To Me, that's not a D/s thing and is still enjoyed just as much by some folks who would still call it vanilla sex. The strap on sex isn't necessarily confined to those of us who are D/s either. It may be considered a little on the wilder side by some, but not especially D/s. It certainly isn't positions or orifices. Again, maybe wilder than some folks would care to indulge, but not especially D/s related. What remains is headspace.
