jali, sometimes (most of the time) I just love your common sense and the way you have at cutting to the chase.  I agree with you completely.  If you (posters) want to share, by all means do so.  If not, that's ok too but don't get all over the ones who do.

I swear I was not drunk much when I hit the school bus full of developemnatally challenged, before I crashed into the old folks home.

I pleasantly told each and every one to have a "nice day" as the stretcher wheeled them off....

aint I nice??  glunk

I think that a random act of kindness would be to stop digging up the past and trying to hurt someone with a good heart.
Sometimes you have to let it go...no matter how bad you were hurt. It happens to us all...how would you teach your children to handle it?   turn the other cheek...or flame and be vindictive?
I dunno...just a thought. I'd say "let it go."  especially to people who do not have a stake in the whole thing, only a misunderstanding.
This whole thing makes me sick, because I'm with the man you damn...and this did happen half a year ago...right?
And before him, there were no cheating wives, school teachers, or bad Doms before him...were there?

kickinchick: Please forgive me for saying anything but I really just feel you need to just relax and settle into your relationship and not let people upset you, wrong, right or indifferent, justified or not. I've got no clue about what has happened but I have been witness to lots of upset being shared on here..sometimes you just have to "let it go".

Yanno, Anne?  I'm relatively new here and I don't know any of the details or incidents you have been referring to...and I don't want to know, not really.  It's all just gossip if I wasn't a part of it.  Anyway, it seems to me that, and I apologize in advance if this feels like I am attacking you, because I don't even know you, that you "slammed" Level just because he related a couple of good deeds.

I mean it.  I have no reason to attack you or anyone else here and this wasn't meant as one.  Level has let it go...at least he hasn't made another post...maybe you should too?  Just a thought.

You are more than welcome, jali.  I've been looking for an opportunity to say just that and this seemed like the right time.

I would have to say the random act of kindness I regularly employ would be appropriatly caffinating Myself on a daily basis so that when I deal with others, I am in an appropriate state of mind, LOL

I love doing random acts of kindness...it's almost a kink, but mainly i do it because i've been the recipient of such, and it's encumbant upon us to keep it going.

One of my favorites was at thanksgiving, i had shopped late for my fresh pumpkins for  my anual pie baking frenzy(my friends actually place orders...lol...i am known to them as the "pie goddess") so i got stuck buying this big snow pumpkin and  it made enough filling for 20 pies. My middle son and i drove around thanksgiving afternoon delivering pies to fire stations...the salvation army...and a coupole of hospice houses. It was awesome sharing that spirit with my child.....now my kids blame me because they stop to buy food for the homeless when they see them. I can think of worse habits to instill.

awwe- that is so sweet.

Roses naturally grow here. I do nothing...yet every year blooms galore. One summer I took a bunch of clipping, put in a jar- w an aspirin. I gave to neighbors and the library.

It is sweet.  We volunteer at a food pantry during xmas and, when my kids were little, they would go through their toys every year and donate some to hospitals, etc.  Yeah, I can think of a lot worse things.........

As many of you know I'm a Crip in order to get out of a nursing home I had to take an apt. that was renovated in a Seniors apt. building...   It wasn't easy at first, you've got to picture a 6' 3" hippie biker moving into a elderly apt. building...
But I always say Hi & smile at the other residents here, if they want to talk I listen, I mean I really listen to them... Many I've discovered are lonely & though it takes so little from Me it means alot to them...
I know you've heard people say "It's hard to cook for one"  it's true, so many times I'll cook My supper & then surprise someone with a meal, some of these people here are living on alot less than I am... It probably does Me as much good as them...
Remember that by giving out Positive you'll get Positive back many times over...

I do a lot of "little" things - the sort of things that most people hardly notice, but you hope they make a difference to someone, somewhere.  Nothing remarkably notable, though.

I was at the UPS store today and bought 10 boxes and a bag of .. not sure what it's called, but it's like blank newsprint to wrap glasses in. It wasn't particularly heavy stuff, but it was bulky and it was going to take me two trips out to the car, but the UPS guy offered to help me carry it. I thought that was sweet. So, thanks UPS guy!

Reading some of the posts i was reminded of the time my eldest 2 were 4y/o and 5y/o and i was caring my infant dghtr as well awaiting a public bus to my friends home and the rain began to fall as the wind started to pick up a bit. I saw a elderly woman who had a short sleeve shirt on and capris shivering i removed my name brand jacket and wrapped it about her frail physic assisting her in putting it on. As she thanked me i felt i needed no thanks because i would hope that if someone seen my grandmother in the same situation they would do the same for her. My middle dghtr asked why i did that all i could say in response was that she needed the warmth more than i did @ that moment.~~~Lovingly disciplined~~~qi{LH}~~please take care of Yyah so that when the time comes Yyah are able to take care of Yyah Oone. (that means in every way mentally/physically/spiritually/aurally/etc)

Ya know, I don't know what all this crap is about but its getting very annoying and starting to put you in a less than attractive light. If the guy needs you to defend him...thats not looking so spiffy either.
If you have a problem with someone maybe putting your big girl panties on and talking to them personally, as in.. IN PERSON rather than subjecting all the rest of us to this childish drama would be alot more appropriate.
