Just out of curiosty, I was wondering how many subs/slaves have taken classes, taken up a new hobby, etc specifically to please a Dom/me? of future Dom/me?

         Years back I took bellydancing classes and my dom really enjoyed watching me practice. ( not sure if he was enjoying the sensuality of the dance or the comic relief I had to be providing ;)

          One sub gf of mine got into learning/hosting wine and cheese tastings as her Dom enjoyed that.   Any others take up an interest or hobby for the enjoyment of their Dominants?

          While not with a dom at the moment, I decided to take classes again starting next month just for the pure enjoyment of the dance. I'd love to take a gourmet cooking class if I had someone who enjoyed that type of food also.

I took a wine tasting course for my ex-Dom.

For Master, I have not taken classes, but I have:

Learned some of the recipes that are popular in his family.

Learned to play Pinochle, which is played at every event hosted by Master's family.

Learned to make wine.

(There are a bunch of things that he has asked me to research and learn, but those are what comes to the front of my mind right now)

So what you are saying is that it would not be out of line to ask a sub or slave to learn how to make whiskey at home?

Wow Oside.... you MAKE wine? That's quite a talent. I've never known anyone that did that.

I feel there are so many things subs/slaves can do to enrich and educate themselves while waiting to find that special someone. I always told the ladies in our groups.... Do what you can do in the meantime to be the BEST you you can offer to a Dominant :) Goes for the male subs too ... perhaps even more so!

Actually there is a loophole. If you are distilling alcohol to use as a fuel, it is legal... however not all of that alcohol has to go into a car, now does it?

I had found a recipe for a lemon wine, and I've done some tweaking to it, and it has become a huge favorite among our friends. I'll make 6 gallons and have a waiting list of friends that want some.

Well..... I did stop peeling the spuds when making mashed potatos. My Sir liked his potatos more natural......

I did it to please him...... because i was used to peeling those suckers in big thick strips.

Of course, do i really need to say it? - i washed the potatos really well.

It's about the same as wine, usually around 12%.

I prefer an alcohol content of at least 50%.

Actually, before I met the Mister, I became the best ME I could be....for ME! I improved myself for me, as opposed to someone I had never even met. Actually I was pretty happy being single, so the idea of being with someone again was pretty far fetched to me.

And then I met the Mister, and he loved that I had such an active life and did so many things for myself.

Since we've been together, I've continued, with his encouragement. Some things I've done:

* Taken a painting class
* Taken a jewelry making class
* Lost a bunch of weight
* Started working out / Zumba

And a bunch of other things. Not because he told me to, and not specifically for him....but because I find enjoyment in them and doing these things added fulfillment to my life.

He hasn't sent me to a particular class, but he encourages me to go to various classes or learn various things as it enriches my life, and he enjoys watching that. He does challenge me in the kitchen a lot. I love to cook and once in awhile he'll mention some obscure or difficult dinner he wants me to cook for him, and then I set out to figure it out. It's fun.

No & they even have decent kits available online for the task

I have not taken classes, but I did have a Sir who was very into organic eating and such, and I began to cook and eat differently kind of as an "organic" result (lol) of being with Him. He also provided some excellent insights into my erotic writing, and I think His input will make my next publication have a more authentic Dominant voice. The biggest thing He did to encourage me to improve myself was to allow me to actually BE myself and embrace the things I had felt before that I had to squelch and stifle.

I agree, though, with an earlier post about being then best self we can be for us even when there is no Sir to serve for a time.
