What you young individuals of questionable music appreciation call rock and roll, I call noise.

But I do hope you have a good time. My old ears cant handle much of what has come out since the 80's.

Why thank you, first time I've been called a young individual in quite a while lol, I find myself in the same sort of position with what my son listens to nowadays, to me its noise...ach horses for courses as they say I suppose

Yeah a strong line up right across the board, usually get good headliners and some fillers as I call them but this year it's all quality, now all we need is the weather to hold, I don't mind 4 days of rain and mud but it's much nicer if it's sun and shorts instead lol

Look, today, I feel like I was born in 1961BCE, but according to my Certificate of Live Birth Issued by the state of Arizona, I am 51 years old, 52 in June.

Okay some of the bands referred to are decent, not the classics, but decent.

I just thought I'd have my say on this. I do find it increasingly irritating how we seem to get the least good festivals compared to the rest of Europe and the World, really.
When you look at the line ups in some of the other big rock festivals, we pale in comparison, sadly.

I shall say that this year's Download is a cracking line up, and it's a shame I can't really afford the extortionate prices they charge to get the full benefit of the whole weekend.
I think back to the wonderful Ozzfest one day fetisvals they had, which were just amazing. It's a shame they don't stick to the one day things more, as they'd be much easier to fork out for for people who are on a very low income.
The last festival I went to was the last Ozzfest they had over here. It was just brilliant, and I'd love for something like that to be repeated, especially at Milton Keynes Bowl, which, imo, has to be THE best place for a festival.

As for the OP, hope you have a great time and have a mosh for me!

I understand what you mean about pricing, I normally do 2 or 3 festivals a year, some for the whole weekend some for one day, you can buy single day tickets for download but they don't go on sale until all the weekend passes are sold so there only a limited number.

I was at the MK bowl a while back for the Foo Fighters gig....awesome venue btw

And thank you, I will have a mosh for all that can't make it lol
