The thread about pics got me to wondering...

What kind of pics do YOU want to see, in a man and in a woman? Does it matter to you if they're Dom/me, sub, or switch?

Myself:

For a woman, I want to see a full body pic, clothed, but able to show generally what kind of figure she has. Ideally, a face pic. One or two whimsical pics, like MOS's bunny pic or a cartoon from the Internet, is okay. More than that, and it gets silly to me. If she has a face pic, I'd prefer a smiling one.

For a man, I'd suggest one pic in denim clothing, looking ready to chop down a tree, and another one showing him dressed like he's able to go to a society event. Something showing him doing an activity.

I'd prefer not to see a stranger's private parts, but beyond that it doesn't matter to me since I'm not looking. People lose sight of the fact that this site isn't entirely for finding a partner.

Here are the pictures I require to be interested:

Face pic. Smiling preferred, but not mandatory.
Full-body shot doing something interesting and wearing clothes! - rock climbing, playing an instrument, dancing, stretched out on the couch reading, playing sports, whatever.

That's all I need. Pictures in lingerie or fetish attire is acceptable as long as it's tasteful. Nudity should be limited to artistic poses/lighting, if included at all, and I can do without that, tyvm.

However, under absolutely NO circumstances should there be photos of inanimate objects (e.g. the toy collection) without the person in them, headless torso shots, duck lips, closeups of feet/breasts/genitals/anuses, body fluids/excretions, or penetration of any kind. Hard. Fucking. Limit. Those are an automatic "next."

Anymore, I only have one photo of myself on my profile and it is the last one (after a bunch of memes, etc.). I did this intentionally because I wish to drive people away from my profile.

Were I looking, I would agree with Steven's post 100%

I understand the desire to see people doing things but is it really a big deal if pictures are just decent shots you've taken of yourself?

Editing to add that I don't mean some crappy cell phone picture taken in a bathroom mirror.

I prefer candid pictures.. don't need a face pic, body pic, or any specific pic.. but then again I am not bound by someone's appearance as much as a lot of people are...

I actually do prefer face shots if the person feels comfortable doing so. The primary pic should have clothes if it's a body shot. I don't think many guys realize that women are turned off by naked body shots. We don't care how good you think you look naked. We generally don't want to see your dick or your ass before we know your name. The naked torso with the head cut off is about one pube better, but we're still not interested.

The rest of the pics, I prefer a mix. If you like play shots, I'm completely cool with those. Not the dildo up the ass shots. More like the stuff that would be considered BDSM art. Rope work, needle designs, fire play, etc. The kink is why you are here, so it stands to reason that you might want to include that. Balance it out with something from vanilla life. Hiking pics, a shot of you with your pet, a vacation pic with you and some nice scenery. I know it's a radical idea but be an individual. That's especially true for submissive males because if you look like everybody else, you might as well hang it up.

I'd want a face shot and a full body shot, clothed. For extra points, she can turn to the side and give me a shot like that as well. Because from the front she might be hips but no ass, and I wouldn't know that without a side view. I might be wanting too much,lol.

Just a nice photo. Nothing silly, like dressed up in a costume (one guy has like a phantom of the opera thing...). Or anything that makes him look opposite of his profile...guy who talks about how serious he is...then is looking at the camera with his tongue sticking out or something stupid. I prefer at least from the waist up because I LOVe men's chests but close enough face that I can make out facial features.

Clothing is a good start. I do not care to see naked people in general.
One time I did text my husband at his lunch break and dared him to send me a naked picture of him. He sent back he would be happy too. So I am thinking oh this will be funny. I got a picture a few seconds later. He sent me a picture of his bare hand. LOL

Men - A picture of him fully clothed and enjoying a VANILLA activity that depicts his personality. Fishing, hunting/posing with a trophy, hiking/camping, hanging out with friends at a party, whatever. Just something normal so that I can get an idea of who he is and what he enjoys in his downtime.

Face shots are nice.
I love photos of someone laying on their stomach booty and feet showing.
This works for men and women.
Of course I wanna see FEET.

If it's a CD Id like to see them dressed as a woman.

In the end I want to see pictures that represent who THEY are.

I echo what has been said about not wanting to be blinded by genitals as a primary photo (not to mention I think it is against TOS). I like pictures that are candid and real. Might as well be up front about what you look like from the get go.

It is also important to me that someone be willing to meet their own standards. In other words, if they expect others to put up an actual picture of themselves so they can evaluate....then that person had better have an actual picture up as well, KWIM? ;)

I don't post my photos online, but I am happy to exchange them with women I am interested in.

I believe in sending a few photos of my face, as well as full body (clothed) slots. I like the same in return. Basically, I simply want each of us to see if we are the other's cup of tea so we don't waste time meeting someone who isn't our type.

Whimiscal shots - like cartoons or a person's dog -- do nothing for me. I understand they may be trying to communicate their personality, but I'll get that from our interactions.

As far as denim, chopping down a tree or whatever, I don't think there is a one-size-fits-all formula. The clothing or activity, if you include one, should be something that communicates your personality.For example, I don't think I even own a piece of denim.

In women, I prefer pictures that tell me something about her. From her figure to her sense of style, to activities she enjoys doing. I actually am less interested when I see pictures of them engaging in kink or when they're naked.

In men, I want every other man to have pictures of his penis. And his ass. But then again, that just might be strategic on my part, since I'm still looking
