Yea, I think it needs to be established as soon as possible. Ask for an image of something specific (like a poster card with your name on it) as any real person should be okay with that at the least. I just spent 5 hours talking to someone I thought was my perfect match just to find out they would not send me a "thumbs up" picture. It's silly isn't it? For now both. I would never allow compromising pics to be put on the net under any circumstances. As for non-compromising, I might if I already knew the person (someone I met at a munch or event), but still would really have to trust that person. Privacy is a huge concern for me, so I absolutely have to know for sure that the person receiving the photo will not use it in any way that could harm or humiliate me. At this stage I don't know anybody in the community that well.

Since I'm not looking for anything from anybody here; I don't want to hook up, I don't want pics or vieos and I don't want to do dirty chat with anybody there is no reason for anyone to feel the need to verify who I am. My main reason for being here is to learn by asking questions (hopefull intelligent ones LOL). I shouldn't need to post my picture to partake in thes discussion forums, and if someone is uncomfortable with not knowing what I look like they don't have to respond to my posts.

I suppose that's a perfectly fine way to roll if you're not trying to meet up with anyone from this site. When I talk with a guy, I'm turned off instantly if he is too chicken shit to send a photo.

Well, I am definitely too chickenshit, but then I'm not asking anything of you. I'm still a student, and don't want to risk having this side of me become known to my fellow students, faculty or the guys at the gym. This is fine just asking questions here, and I usually get some interesting perspectives and comments. For example, you addressed my posts and offered your take on them and that was really all I am looking for from anyone here. If someone wants to offer me advice as a newbie, or even constructive criticism I appreciate it, and if they don't then they don't. Works for me.

Yes, asking for those sorts of pictures when you can just meet for coffee IS silly.

Status: offline 		So much time will be wasted getting on cam to have someone verify my realness especially when you get a lot of emails or pms from people. A Mistress certainly wouldn't have time for each request, that is why I personally demand payment if you want ME to go out of MY way to calm your nerves and you are the one who approached me first for my attention, then you got to pay for my time, if that makes me fake because I'm not going to go jumping on cam each time a timid subbie comes a knocking, then so be it.

This is not bad advice, but it's one that would not work with me. I'm willing to show photogeninc, and non photogenic days's photos. However, I have never bought a webcam, and though my computer has one, I've only ACCIDENTALLY turned it on once. I hate webcams, and being on one.

How to tell if a mistress is real, the emails, the chat, the phone conversations, and the meetings need to be coherent with one another. If something seems off, don't dismiss it. Nothing replaces the value of meeting in person, as soon as possible. Anyone who refuses to meet you after a reasonable amount of time (1 week-6months), indicates to me, that it's someone hiding a small or major aspect of whom he/she is.

I always look for rounded corners on at least 2 of the 4 corners of the image.

That's a 99.9% sure sign the photo is real.

I thought I knew someone that well, a few innocent (face covered) polaroid pics between lovers...then logged in on the other side to find my own tits on display in the right side ad!! My head almost exploded & person in question was still walking funny when the cam call to verify he didn't have permission to post occurred. Even after contacting sites (yes plural) he knew this pic was posted to, I still occasionally still discover my tits in the margin
