Marini, you still have time to edit your post # 16 so it's clear to whom you are referring.

Thanks I did!!!

I think a lot of confusion happens, when people are not sure who is talking to who.

Let's see you called me an idiot last week out of the blue.
Now this thread?
You are not exactly sweetness and light most of the time.
That being said, I think you need to get some sort of psychological counseling, and step back from the message boards for a while.

I hope everything works out for you, good luck.

FR.....

I wasn't here for the whole Arpig fiasco.
Thank god.
I knew him on the forums before I left but all of that occurred while I was gone.
However, IMO this type of "public service announcement" does more harm than good.
IMO this is a blatant post of public shaming and black listing except you didn't have the balls to actually call them out by name.
No you left people guessing.
You left people wondering if Arpig was back.
*smh*

I also will say, I have people look at my profile all the time.
Sometimes over and over again.
I don't think to much of it because my profile is a public profile after all.
Hell, I have people who have followed my journal and admired me and they have never spoken to me.
I figure they read something they liked or perhaps enjoy my photos.
Again, why make a big deal over it my profile is public after all.

ETA: I am assuming everyone is an adult who is here. So why do they need to be "warned" about some mysterious unnamed boogie man that MIGHT be lurking in the shadows?

Op, you had said in another thread one time, that you are prone to paranoia. I think this may be a case for that. Maybe you might want to take a step back and take a better look at this?

Maybe try not to take the forums and people here so seriously if this is how it leaves you feeling? Just a suggestion.

Thanks, that's good advice.

Pam

DAMN good advice. Other good advice might include taking the prescribed meds, or getting some.

Now, I don't know if your OP was meant to be about me, Pam, since what is being spouted there is some serious craziness, but I know you've been trying to draw me into whatever version of events is playing in your head. Not interested. If I want internet drama in my life, there are plenty of people in my family I could accept the Facebook friend invites from.

So let's clear the air. I think the moderation is being handled badly, at least down in the P&R basement where I typically play. I don't have a firm opinion on whether it is political bias, favoritism, or just incompetence. I certainly don't think it is personally targeted, and I say that from the experience of having been on XI's shitlist. I hope they get it together, but it is their house. Overall, I like the place, but I don't have to engage with the P&R douchebags who need to fuck off and die in a car crash, to perve profiles and hunt the golden unicorn, on the other side.

Now you may been cmailing a lot of people who are taking a break from the forums, in which case, cue the Carly Simon. Whatever. Done.

Have a nice night, Pam, and if I don't talk to you again, a nice life too.

Rich

That's okay. Many here already think I'm crazy, so I might as well seal the deal. And no, I wasn't talking about you.

Did the voices tell you that too? But, seriously, it's okay if you think so. I'm actually grateful that you had the decency to say it to my face.

That's not what drove me to write this thread. I was actually just trying to be helpful, and the whole thing has taken a much more serious tone than I intended. I meant for it to be a gentle warning, not a hysterical call to arms. But that's collarme.

Believe what you want. I thank you for your candor.

I was simply repeating what you had yourself said in another thread if I remember correctly. You were the one who pointed out that you are prone to paranoia. I thought maybe this is something that you didn't see in this thread. Sometimes we don't always pick up on what we are doing and sometimes we need someone else to tell and show us.

I'm sorry if you feel I was demeaning you or thinking you are crazy. Neither one is true. I think though that maybe you may want to take a step back and try to see it for yourself. Rationalize it for yourself.

Either way, I wish you the best of luck in figuring all this out.

That allegation has been made, but not by you. I didn't feel demeaned. I meant what I said, literally. "I thank you for your candor. " Many here think I need to be treated with kid gloves, to protect my delicate sensibilities. Those people underestimate me. Despite what many think, I do not resent honesty.

I'll be honest then. The reason they may treat you with kid gloves is because of well.....a thread like this being created. They don't want one being written about them with innuendos and such and they may not be sure when you will go off. I've been through that with my daughter....constantly walking on eggshells and never knowing when the next word or even moving the wrong way would set her off. After so many years of dealing with that, I just don't anymore with anyone....except her because she's my daughter. Unfortunately, she's still that way today even as an adult.

I thought you were going to start a thread and thought this might be it but I am thinking no, not this thread. Did you ever start that thread you said you would?

OP - This seems like one of those times in which it is good to remember that all of us have experiences that we dislike and cannot control. However, 99% of happiness, serenity and peace, lies in the fact that we do control how we label the experience (attitude) and how we choose to react (choosing to take control.)

That said, I hope that writing your post has alleviated your pain.

@heartcream - Wow, you have my new favorite avatar! Awesome!

I did. In general discussion, called "The Greater Kindness".
