ORIGINAL: servantforuse TFB has no job. She has no way to pay this debt that she racked up on her 'daddys' credit cards. You know what, to me, is the core difference between TFB and you? Not that she is unemployed and in debt, not that she often does not make the best choices, not that she might be a bit annoying from time to time, but that when it comes down to it, she tries to be a nice, decent human being, while you often exhibit a nasty, mean spirit. I would take a day with her over one with you any time. I understand those of you who have counselled her to place her dog in a different home, I once would have done the same. However, my view has changed a bit. If you look at what we have come to know about TFB over the past years, then I believe that she needs that dog, especially the companionship and unconditional love it provides for her. Giving her a responsibility is a additional bonus. The dog is fed, even if it might not be the quality of food that I would choose, and its health needs are seen to, be it via credit card or with the help of family. If I weight that against what the dog provides for her, I come out in favour of her owning it. TFB, good for you that you are getting proactive with your finances, and are getting your Daddy to do the same. Over in Admit you talked about cleaning and reorganizing, and you seem to be working on your eating and drinking habits as well. That is great, you are on a roll. Now, keep the momentum, and remember, all those big changes can be broken down into small steps.
