You being on disability wouldn't stop you from fostering with the rescues "I" have gone through but if your house was a mess (i'm not talking just lived in but MESSY) it wouldn't have passed the safety inspections that they conducted.

And if I want to say something I will, I don't IMPLY anything.
I am pretty damn blunt always have been.
Always will be.


Me telling you that I think you shouldn't have a pet isn't an attack because your in disability or because you don't have a lot of money. It's because from YOUR words having an animal puts a financial hardship on you and your household. From YOUR words you can not always give them what they need right away or you have to borrow to do it or rack up debt. To me that is just plain selfish and irresponsible.

Quite frankly, I have owned animals all my life, and they got their shots as puppies or kittens and were taken to the free rabies clinic. As long as they didn't get sick, they didn't need to see the vet. I know very few people who are prepared for catostrophic medical bills for themselves, let alone their pet.

Yes, many rescues are looking for higher qualifications to foster or adopt animals and make it more difficult than trying to adopt a child. In any case, the place that TFB fostered both animals from, she voluteers at, so they know her, and she knows them. They know what she is and is not capable of with an animal and I'm sure that is taken into consideration when considering her as a foster home for a dog.

As Sandra and I have said, in TFB's case, that dog is very important and improves TFB's quality of life. The animal gets the vet care it needs, not arbitrary bullshit visits to the vet designed specifically to put money in the vet's pocket. Because based on the life that this dog has with TFB, there are shots Callymay doesn't need. She isn't around other dogs, so she doesn't need those shots.

Yes, she has issues, and problems and is disabled in both a mental and physical capacity. So improving her quality of life, which is what this dog does is vitally important. She finds a way to make it work.

Status: offline 		She goes as issues come up. But no, she doesn't go every month for a oh she should have this, or oh she really needs that, she needs to be on suppliments, you should bring her in. Most their costs are like once a year, or some special thing like she got an ear infection, or she got an anal gland infection.

She gets flea and heart worm pills every month and that's vital to her well being. But that's the only every month vet cost she has.

My company was going through lawsuits, creditors calling, I'd left school, fighting with my folks, and this little puppy came into my world and just changed me. Dogs are the best medicine...right up there with therapy, in my book.

Forget the middle man who promises to help you, but only takes their fees.
Make a realistic budget based on all of your income and all of your monthly expenses.
Stick to it. No exceptions.
Use this concept and your debt will be gone over time while preserving your credit rating.

Edited to add...not only will you be debt free eventually, you will have learned to live within your means.

My homelife was really abusive and I considerd a few times running away and do what I dont know. I just thought it had to be better than at home. But I loved my dog so much I wouldnt run away and leave him, and I couldnt take him with me. So I stayed put. I also get so lonely alone all the time, id be far more depressed and maybe be tempted to hurt myself if I didnt habe hercompanionship. Calley may is my joy, my world , the light and love and everythimg that is good when nothing else is good.
