Status: offline 		Below are the types of firearms that would be prohibited under the bill introduced by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., according to her website. For more on this story, follow our coverage here.

Not according to Feinstein. According to her bill, an assault weapon is any rifle built on a military frame and can have a magazine capacity of over 10 rounds.

Tommy guns. She wants to ban tommy guns. How many people have even seen one? The one I saw was in a case along with Mauser's and other guns. And none of them fired.

Seems like she just looked for scary looking guns.

Considering she is banning some weapons that do not fall into the assault weapons classification, then it looks to me like a first step to banning all guns.

And she still hasn't admitted that her NFA registration of grandfathered guns constitutes defacto confiscation

The last real tommy gun I saw was fully fuctional. Of course it was in the "armory" of the sheriff's office I worked for 15 years ago.
Thompson center made, maybe still makes, a tommygun look-a-like, semi only of course.

All ammunition feeding devices (magazines, strips, and drums) capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.
157 specifically-named firearms (listed at the end of this page).

Status: offline 		Banning guns has absolutely nothing to do with saving lives. If people cared about saving lives they would ban cars that go over 45 mph that kill 93 people per day in the United States (one simple example of many). Banning guns is about removing power from people and cloistering it for only a privileged few. Only the government and the rich will be allowed have those weapons now. A rather obvious imbalance of power.

I find it sad that people think that democracy is so strong it can survive such an imbalance of power when it's only 200 years old and humanity is millions of years old. Millions of years of the strong enslaving the weak because of an imbalance of power.

I will not be registering my weapons.
