Don't they use safe words or, when gagged, safe moves when filming BDSM?

There's this thing called acting.

Also ... film editing.

So ... IF a safeword/move is used ... You can simply edit it out later.

I am a fetish model.
I own fetish websites and work for other producers who make fetish videos.
I do NOT speak for the fetish industry / porn industry as a whole.
I am only going to speak about myself and those that I work with.
I am only speaking about the companies I have direct dealing with, either by myself or with helping others get gigs there.

Our videos are REAL sessons.
Although we plan them out and say what needs to happen.
We like them to be organic other wise.
They are NOT scripted.
We do use safe words and nonverbal cues like tapping out.
I can name more than a dozen such sites.

You will see us use them in our videos.
We pride ourselves it.

Again, I am only speaking about the videos I make and work in and for the producers I work with directly or indirectly.

I can say also that there are times where producers or models do what I call a switch and bait.
Where they tell models they are doing one thing and do another.
It happens from time to time but models do speak to one another.
So the word eventually gets around.
Sadly sometimes not fast enough.

Yeah, I watched the video after I made my post. I don't think that particular case was acting ... Though I can't help but wonder why she didn't protest more *before* he began penetration. He told her several times what he intended to do ... He wasn't whispering, by any means. I can't say if she was "raped" or if this is a ploy to sell a video.

I can say for a FACT that there are some producers / models who pull bait and switches.
They tell models we are doing one thing and do something else.

From those I have known that have done bdsm porn movies, no there are no safewords or moves but any of the stuff they do is not really all that dangerous that you really need any of that and most of the equipment is rigged for easy out. Just like any movie, they usually have to film shots over again for better lighting, moves, sound, whatever. The actors have more than enough time to say "no". The thing is very few will. Why would they? They get paid and they want the money.

Kink.com is SO FREAKING ANAL (ha!). The scenes are agreed to beforehand, and the model is filmed before and after scenes verbalizing both her part, and her consent.

There was another large kinky porn studeo out of NY that did the same, (I cannot remember which?). They are also very concerned about legal implications with striking the model- a friend said it was the most weenie caning she had ever received, and was paid something like 800 dollars over her original agreement when she told them to go harder. Said there was no break in the skin, and the marks went away the same day. She also said the bondage scenes are broken up over several hours, and the crew is highly concerned with safety. The worst part apparently was the male's drama queen attitude.

That's been my experience with kink.com and a few other porn sites as well and a few I used to know who did porn films. InSex was the only place I'm aware of that had major troubles for their scenes and being I knew one of the guys and a gal who did Insex, I'm not surprised at all. They were known for going to far and women crying assault, rape, damage and not being paid or not being paid what they were promised.
