Agreed. Unless each victim had been identified - by the killer - as belonging to the "other" party, sparing his own party, how could any of this be put together as politically motivated?

And that is exactly my point.

There are those who are politically motivated to falsely accuse Democrats, Liberals or anyone who isn't a Conservative as a "danger" to society.

When I was serving in Vietnam, our opponents were called "gooks" - because if we were to consider them as sub-human, we would be less likely to feel guilt if we killed them. Both they and we were taught by our superiors that the other side tortured prisoners, to "motivate" us and make us less likely to surrender. (This actually became helpful for me as an interrogator because when I treated them with kindness, they began to realize their leaders had lied to them and they were more likely to voluntarily tell me what I wanted to know.)

So this "All recent mass murderers are registered Democrats" lie is designed to effectively dehumanize any registered Democrat.

There are those who are politically motivated to falsely accuse Republicans, Conservatives or anyone who isn't on the left of the spectrum as a "danger" to society.

So the "All recent mass murderers are registered Republicans" lie is designed to effectively dehumanize any registered Repulican.

It goes both ways

Personally, I dont think a mass killer has a political motive when it comes to school shootings or killing children, or in the shootings that have occurred in the states in recent years.

So I doubt if any of the shooters involved were Republican or Democrat.

That however does not prevent either side from making the claim of political affiliation on the part of the opposition.

Which makes those people making such claims almost as sick as the shooters themselves. In my opinion.

But then, since I am a gun loving, ecofriendly democrat, my opinion means very little.

Who's been saying that, then?

Actually it depends on which extremist left or right talking head is speaking into the mic.

BTW, did you know that Republicans dont get cavities?

I didn't know that, no.
Something to do with a lack of sweetness in the mouth?

Maybe I should have said rarely does the mass killer of children have a political motive.

Personally if I wanted to make a political statement, I think I would strike at a political target...

Personally, I could care less what any criminal's political affiliation was, let alone a mass murderer.

And regardless of what political affiliation these people might have had, it doesn't affect my opinions on issues like gun control or mental health.

What I find fascinating is that conservatives think they are making a point with this statement. What exactly, I have no clue. [&:]

Well, they should have. Children are goddamned pinko feminist liberal towel-head communists. [:'(]

That is only true when they reach the teen years, but you forgot to add hormone driven sex fiends.

Younger than that they are anarchists.

The same point that leftists think they are making, attempting to identify those they disagree with with those who are the problem, thus discrediting the opposition rather than facing it. Cheap tactic on both sides.

Fightdirecto, in the words of some I enjoy watching 'the problem is not the problem. the problem is your attitude to the problem."

Fightdirecto, in the words of some I enjoy watching 'the problem is not the problem. the problem is your attitude to the problem."

My "Attitude to the Problem" is very simple:

quote:

On July 27, 2008 Former U.S. Army private, Jim David Atkinsson, who hated Democrats, liberals, African Americans and homosexuals, using a Remington Model 48 12-guage shotgun, murdered two people and injured seven others inside the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Knoxville, TN.

Being both a registered Democrat and a liberal, I am a physical target for Rightist Kool-Aid drinkers like Atkinsson. I am not a Unitarian Universalist, but I attend an Episcopalian church, and the Rightist Kool-Aid drinkers are frequently being told by their Prophets Glenn Beck, Alex Jones, Roger Hedgecock, Pat Robertson, et. al. that, since we Episcopalians have both women ministers and Bishops and openly gay ministers and Bishops that killing Episcopalians may be a necessary step toward "saving America".

In short, I am the target this mock "hunting license" says, "may be hunted day or night with or without dogs" without any "bag limit" or requirement to "tag":

I believe my "Attitude to the Problem" is quite justified.
