Whatcha tryin to say?

I have been called the devil incarnate, but that is seriously besides the point. I can sure looks all kinds of innocent, even if I'm not. [:'(]

littlewonder -> RE: I'll take it hot, now, in this artery. (2/7/2013 6:55:41 PM)

ooohhhh...it did, it did! Is it awful that I want another?

Its Ruffles chips for me...after scrambled eggs with cheese and bacon bits.

Mom earned the evil eye from me when she brought home fake bacon bits.

Hmmm...need a snack before going to bed...more chips!

This is too good a post not to chuckle softly over!

Sadly, no.
My innocence was stolen long ago.

I try to forget
that first cold, delicious, creamy, sweet, chocolaty, crunchy, cold, honey-y, delicious mouthful.
It haunts me to this day.

It haunts me.
Late at night, when I snap awake and open the small freezer under my night stand only to feel the cold, dead, space which once was full,
it haunts me.

I weep softly, and remember.
My innocence lost.

So I am on blood pressure meds, my blood pressure is lower than average now, and with my weight loss, it keeps improving.

Good work, Jeff. Keep at it, and don't let yourself get derailed if you happen to backslide a bit. Lifestyle changes like that are not all-or-nothing propositions.

I am down to 254 from 360.

I will give up my salt the same time I give up cigarettes and scotch, which will be 9 months after I am dead.

Then you will be happy to hear of a study I read today that links insulin resistance heart damage to low sodium levels??

I've given this out before, but--

1 lb bacon
1/2 c ground pecans
1/2 c brown sugar

Mix sugar and pecans, spread on plate. As bacon is removed from cooking, place on pecan mixture, press, then flip and remove to cool.

Praline bacon.

STOP POSTING THAT.

Foodporn

Did you mean this> Wonder what it would taste like chopped and sprinkled on say, chocolate ice cream?

I must be the ONLY person in the world that can actually refuse a Krispy Kreme. Even the lemon filled ones....and lemon filled are my ultimate fave! But KK's are just too greasy because they glaze them so quickly after frying them. They sit in my tummy like a rock.

Notsweet -> RE: I'll take it hot, now, in this artery. (2/7/2013 9:00:48 PM)

Do you have any bacon poetry?

jlf1961 -> RE: I'll take it hot, now, in this artery. (2/7/2013 9:26:35 PM)

Krispy Kreme and Oreos have gotten together to make a limited edition doughnut. It's a Krispy Kreme doughnut filled with chopped Oreos.

I'll go ahead and make an appointment with the cardiologist now.

What's your favorite snack that makes you embarrassed to be seen eating it?

oh. my.

I feel the sugar shock at just the vision. Vegies and dip are my favorite snacks.

MariaB -> RE: I'll take it hot, now, in this artery. (2/8/2013 2:52:40 AM)

I have only ever had a bite out of a Krispy Kreme and I was nearly sick. Far too sweet for me. I have noticed American cakes are a lot sweeter than European cakes.

I'm embarrassed to be seen eating French bread because, like littlewonder, I'm gluten intolerant and I know it can make me ill and so does everyone else who knows me!

When I was a vegetarian it was bacon/lardons. When I was pregnant with my last child, I walked into my mother in-laws kitchen during a party and found a plate full of mini cheesy bacon rolls. I ate all of them but nobody ever suspected me because I was the only vegetarian [:)]

Pregnancy is the best excuse to eat everything that you want...even if it is against your lifestyle.

Don't tell that to a doctor! I remember mine told me to not overdo it during the holidays. I just gave her a look as though she came from a different planet.

tommonymous -> RE: I'll take it hot, now, in this artery. (2/8/2013 7:14:41 AM)

I'm afraid that was probably a one-off. I'm still not quite sure what happened. I was just sitting here minding my own, then I got to thinking about all those wonderful mouthfuls. Pretty soon, I was breathing heavily and working furiously, and then I just exploded. With poetry. Wonderfully awful poetry. ;)
