a rival website is forced into engaging in censorship. many will leave that web site, most understand why some is censored. but removing and censoring scat crosses the line. toilet slaves have it difficult the way it is. some that will be leaving; state by taking away fetishes, is my fetish the next to be censored? that rival web site might become very vanilla. i hope toilet slaves and scat is still welcome here.

I'm not aware of what other site that is but there are limits everywhere. A scat pic for an avatar or inserted in a thread might be taken down here, too. CM's policy is not to insult the kinks or lifestyle preferences of others. That doesn't mean that people can't say that it's not a kink they like. Scat does happen to be a hard limit for a lot of folks, so people probably will express that. Since you are already aware of this (your own OP mentions that toilet kinks are hard to find acceptance) I don't think you'll find the CM folks different in that regard. Since this is the "Alternative Lifestyles in the News" section, do you have a link to an article?

I know there's a lot of gossip about the incorrect policy about CM not allowing the name of 'the site of which we shall not name," but that really isn't true. You can say Fet here. It won't get your post pulled. I'd be very interested to hear the details of the mass exodus. As far as I know, (and I completely admit that this isn't a kink of Mine, so I have little info on groups related to it) scat and toilet kinks are still listed on the site. Has something changed in policy?

From all the research we've done over the past two weeks, the Big 4 no-no's are: 1. Anything Under 18. 2. Incest. (Even between consenting adults.) 3. Zoophilia. 4. Scat. Note: By incest, we don't mean "daddy/daughter" play unless by daddy/daughter you really mean daddy… daughter play! For the record, when it comes to anything under 18, we don't allow anything other than cartoon jokes. When it comes to zoophilia, all we do currently is allow people to fantasize about it. And when it comes to scat, we allow anything. Why wouldn't we?!?!? But, because of what we've learnt over the last couple of weeks (and admittedly, many years ago), we won't be allowing any of the above going forward. We won't even be able to allow people to fantasize about incest (between consensual adults), zoophilia, or scat… if we want to continue to be there for the community. What the f#@k does that even mean? Said in my best Sacha Baron Cohen voice. FetLife is HUGE… so it might take a bit of time… but over the next 2-6 weeks (it's not going to happen over night) we are going to: Clean up all our fetishes. Clean up all our groups. Re-write our internal guidelines. Introduce a new "Content Guidelines" page, that in plain english, explains to everyone our content rules. A page that we will keep updated and link to it from our ToU. Build better tools so we can catch offending content quicker. Re-engineer our Content Caretaking team.

I have to admit, I fully support number one. Always have, always will. I can see where they are going with two and three. There are some potential legal ramifications there. I have reason to think that would go along the same lines as why those subjects are not allowed here on CM. The fourth? I am very curious as to why. I'm going to have to do some poking around.

I got interested in bdsm/femdom because i am a toilet slave; the only way that i will submit is if i am the toilet slave for a Domme... it just shows that there is a vast intolerance toward that fetish; the your kink is not my kink is understandable but that is the case in the majority. toilet slaves have it difficult as it is without being pushed further back into the closet.

I was able to find a link for this. OP, you are absolutely correct in the reprint of the announcement. It seems that Visa has refused to process support payments/donations from members of Fet as long as that content is on the site. Very interesting.

Pact.... I have been following the tale of money woes over there over the last week plus. It really comes down to just that, money. They don't get enough income to keep the place running as is with just advertising or being owned by someone with much deeper pockets like I believe CM is. Most people want to ease of sending money via a credit or debit card or echeck. All of those go through some middlemen between the buyer and the web site operator. If the processor says I won't deal with anyone who does X, then if you do X, they don't have to take your money and process the payments to you. That is where they are at this point. Outside people are saying no to those four things all of which have been found over there according to what has been said. Whether or not we like or approve of certain things has nothing to do with what others feel like dealing with and some of this deals with laws in countries outside of the US and Canada. All the people who forget that FL is a Canadian company and that US rules and laws don't always apply in other countries is both amusing and sad at the same time. Malkinius

Hi there. I'm kinda surprised that Fet did that. The first three are illegal in the US. The last is certainly not mainstream, but not illegal either. I suspect that it was due to member complaints. I know of at least one member who would deliberately comment on scat pics to bomb his friends' feeds, as a prank. Of course, that's not a concern here because we don't have feeds. I haven't heard any plans to change collarme's fetish acceptance criteria. Currently, it's somewhat loosely policed, but includes automatic action when a certain number of complaints are registered. Allegations of illegal sex such as underage are top priority, and there's no provision to report fetishes that are personally disapproved of. So, welcome to collarme.

What everyone has to remember and most don't is that the laws and customs worldwide are not the same as wherever you live. Bestiality or zoophilia is not a crime everywhere. According to something I recently read, it is currently legal in Germany but they have proposed a law to make it illegal again. Apparently some years ago the law was changed and it is currently legal. No, I have no clue why it was changed. I am only going by what I read on an international law board and followed a link to a news site. There are probably some other countries where it is legal. Scat is probably legal some places as well. Incest laws also vary in the US by state and around the world by country. Do I need to mention that the age of consent for sex is not even 18 everywhere in the US and even where it is there are exceptions for some people under 18. World wide...there are possibly countries with no laws about it at all. Now...what I like and don't like, want and don't want doesn't change what is. Maybe I can help change what is to what I want, but currently it is what it is. That is the reality we have to deal with. I am certain that there are people on CM who are very much into all of those things from what I have heard. Malkinius

FR Exactly has to do with visa and mastercard rules about what they will allow to be "party" to.paypal wont touch it, Visa and mastercard have clamped down on "kink/adult/fetish/pron" sites for months and months. Bitch and whine to them(MC and visa) . For a free site that relies on "donations" to keep the site up, MC and VIsa they can and will deny service to domain hosting companies too. They have the power.

What you are saying above is correct from the information that I read. It seems the Big Four can't be on the site and the processor be willing to do business with FL. My curiosity is fully peaked as to how far this connects to other types of kinks. This is especially true when it comes to My questions about the AB/DL members. yep it mostly comes from fundies complaining... Ive had my store loose payment processing for having nipples showing, restraints and other bondage gear...coming up for three times now. due to changing "rules by Visa AND mastercard, never had a problem with amex or discover, yet, but the majority of "customers" dont use anything but visa and MC They use "chargebacks and fraud" as well as being obscene, pornagraphic, etc as excuses.
