A discipline spanking helps me to feel as if the issue has been resolved, if that makes sense.

But sometimes I just need that release and catharsis and good old fashioned sobfest while my Dominant holds me after a good spanking.

Status: offline 		Spankings for me are different than other types of pain play. Spankings always feel like discipline. Maybe because as a child I was corrected by spankings. Other forms of pain play are an entirely different mind set for me and work as a stress relief. I prefer/enjoy anything other than a spanking.

Neither. We do sometimes have spankings as punishments but I wouldn't say the spanking is the part that helps me improve my life. It's much more complicated than that. A spanking alone generally isn't enough for catharsis, either.

Why don't you tell us your feelings about it, OP, because as it stands this sounds like a poorly-disguised ad for your spanking services.

Status: offline 		Regardless of the why, some people want spankings, and for various reasons well beyond discipline or stress relief. (If life could be reduced to consequence and pleasure, it would be easier, and probably boring.)

I'm more of a delivery man than a parking lot for a hand (or flogger, or cane...). I have never delivered a spanking as a form of discipline because I've never had a partner that it made sense to use corporal punishment on. Looks and words hit deeper and last longer (with or without intention). I have been with masochists, none of whom enjoyed spanking; combine that with my previous statement, and you can see why it wasn't used.
