I could be wrong, (hope so) but I suspect that the person in question was saying 'he's a gay man' over and over again because he hoped it would upset people. Otherwise I don't think it would have been stated quite that many times - someone really wanted to make sure no one missed it. Of course it fell flat because to most of us there's nothing offensive about being gay. Does give you an insight into the poster's attitudes though.

Oh, I don't think it was as missed as some might think. They have this really cool rule about things a person can't do if they have been moderated. One of those things happens to be creating an additional account to circumvent the removal of posting privileges. In other words, if a person is moderated, it's against the rules to create a sock account just to be able to continue to post and attempt to insult people. So, it wasn't quite missed. However, anybody reading the thread can see what is now missing. It's always interesting what you can tell about the character, or lack thereof, of a person by just one thread. Oddly enough, good character tends to be fairly high on the list when people are selecting others for partners. Excellent job by the Moderation team on this one.

For those of us who are poly, even though this wasn't the ideal thread to base it on, it can be tough to find the right person that makes it click. It's tough enough for those seeking monogamous relationships. Sure, there are plenty of people you can find. It's finding the one that meets a person's standards that is the difficult part. A little off track here, but I agree with BK. People should be picky. We're talking about who is going to be a part of your life. In My opinion, that's not something that should be taken lightly.
