Find a seriously messed up homeless person on SSI or a VA disabilty, and sign up in their name. Once the contract is established, take in the iPhone you already have, and purchase a separate data plan.

AT&T hadn't detected the ineligible subscribers because customers self-certified under old rules and because some states required the company to provide Lifeline service to people enrolled in certain state assistance programs, according to a person familiar with the company's thinking.

The agency pushed through new rules last year, requiring documentation when a Lifeline customer signs up. Consumers also must certify that no one else in their households is using the program. Carriers now have to check a state or federal social-service database to confirm eligibility and must reverify eligibility every year.

Makes me wonder why it hasnt been this way from the start up.

My point is that the word "Obamaphone" is inaccurate and it is still called that deliberately even though the person knows better. I'd say what a deliberate misstatement is defined as according to Webster but the Mods don't allow that any more.

The only problem is that if it were called a Reagan/Dubyaphone (as it properly is) the FOX-watching mouthbreathers wouldn't have anything else to mindlessly spout.

(well actually, they would but they'd have to think for a few seconds and that taxes their systems)

So that would be a "no" then, on having a point. The program was rechristened by a paid democrat activist who ran her fat fucking mouth in front of the wrong camera, and something new went viral on the internet. Welcome to the 21st century. That sort of thing happens.

You want to call it a Reaganphone? Spiffy. It's still an excellent example of how a well-intended assistance program can be exploited and abused. 41%, Hillwilliam. Now granted, some of those who didn't respond to the documentation demand are going to be among the most needy, and worst off, who simply aren't functional enough to meet the requirement, but there will be plenty of welfare lifers who know to have the right papers in order, too, and all the extra household members with the aid will be able to document that they have self-declared themselves "homeless."

41%, Hill.

Now a quick-witted lib might take the opportunity to suggest that this can be taken as a sign that the administration is not going to tolerate fraud, but there are only a few of those here. The DIACF gaggle certainly can't be expected to get beyond bile, and talking points.
