Well, I am the weird one in my household, actually I have converted Damian to the dark side as my sis and niece puts it. A typical stir fry sauce and marinade consists of 3 table spoons canola oil, on table spoon sesame oil (for flavor,) one clove of minced garlic, i cup of minced onion (I prefer green onions,) two teaspoons of ginger and one table spoon of soy sauce (can use low sodium if you want.) The meat is chicken, lean beef or pork chopped up into half inch squares, and you can use as much or as little as you want. Marinade the meat for a half hour, then put in Wok or electric skillet. When the meat is about 3/4 the way cooked, add cut up FRESH spinach, fresh green beans or peas, chopped pepper, slice water chestnuts, bean sprouts, shredded carrots, and broccoli florets. Cook until the veggies are done but not super soft. Serve over rice. ( I cheat on the rice, I have a rice cooker) Other than that everything I cook is either baked, sauteed, steamed or if cooked in oil, I use less than three tablespoons of the stuff. I dont cook with salt. Make my own sauces from scratch, to avoid unnecessary sugar and salt. And doing this I have lost 120 pounds. In another thirty pounds I get to have two slices of Pizza hut pizza!
