ORIGINAL: rowdy01 Well I do have expensive tastes in fine dining not like some people obviously. I also like a good wine from Margret River in Western Australia. Not all activities for example ( ropes I'm a beginner ) electrical play, medical play, suspension, toilet training, enemas, TPE, I'm curious about these things only as I haven't done them before okay. I don't claim to be your idea of a expert in what I know. I was doing everything that I'm a expert in for 10 years and about 11 months okay That's my training and experience and you? How much training and experience do you have? First of all, having expensive tastes in fine dining does not make you an expert, unless we are using the incorrect semantics for this. Having money and spending alot of money does not make you an expert, it just makes you have money. You can still be an asshat with alot of money. Having good taste in wine is not enough to be an expert; I love good wines, yet I cannot call myself an expert as I have not studied wine enough to be proficient. Doing something for 10 years or more can make you an expert (possibly) in a professional sense, but in a kink activity sense, no. Why? Just because you have done something in kink does not mean that a) you do it well. You could be doing it wrong for 10 years and b). I may not like how you do the thing you have done for 10 years. Now, I do agree with someone like LadyPact who has conducted workshops on what she does, so to me, yes, she could be considered an expert. I am mostly referring to men who just randomly check of all boxes and say they are experts at getting massages, etc. Silly. Lastly, how much training and experience do I have? Well, in my profession, I have done it successfully for over 20 years so I could say I am an expert. However, in my profession, you can choose to keep learning and finding new ways to do what I do or you can be an arrogant jerk who thinks they know everything they need to know. As for training and experience in kink activities, I have been involved in this since age 16 and I have managed to do most of what I always fantasized about. I am an expert in myself and what I like. It would seem odd to say I am an expert submissive because that is subjective. When it comes to the word expert, there is either a provable benchmark of success, such as a certificate, etc. or it is based on subjective thoughts about one's abilities which is not necessarily going to be true for everyone.
