I've known a lot of people who have used this site to search for the rapists. Not sure how it turned out though. Good luck with your latenight therapy sessions, don't forget to record them for later enjoyment!

Oside beat me to it.

Might be that you can just google kink aware therapist and get someone in your area.
Failing that, look in the gay community. Even if you aren't gay, gay supportive therapists tend to be a bit more open than one picked at random.

google would be more helpful then asking here. I can find almost anything on google. Or go to fetlife and find a local group and ask. They would know more then someone here.

Unless you're boiling puppies its probably not as dramatic as you think!! Therapy is a beneficial tool, it shouldnt be let's freak out the shrink with what I did in bed friday night.

Therapists are trained to deal with the variations of the human condition. Even in Bible belt Indiana, I (easily) found a great therapist who is marvelous with the kink side of my relationships.

Sure, she had quite a few questions to ask at first, and she 'uses' me and Himself as experts in the rest of her practice, since she admits to needing more understanding about the mindset of masochists and sadists. The power exchange end of our relationship didn't even merit a blimp on the radar, really that stuff is basic to all humans in some way or another.

We did have some interesting talks about my enjoyment of consensual/non consent play (all three of us, she wanted Himself there as well). And some of the fetishes my sub and I get up to make her raise an eyebrow. But seriously, it's not that far out of normal human behavior.

Part of going to therapy (an important part) is finding a therapist you can establish a rapport with -- if the first one doesn't seem to get you, or appears too judgmental, move on.

Best of luck, and a great big pat on the back for realizing that sometimes therapy is what you need.

Thank you =) Yeah it feels right to find someone with possible similar background to talk to every once n awhile, and yeah nothing serious. Just found out I have a daughter who is 5 and never knew about it mom called asking for money recently which was a 100% shock... so yeah it's alot to handle in a night. That is FOR SURE.

That situation I would be finding a good attorney!! Maybe a DNA lab.
What I would term gold digger on the door step isn't something that demands a kink professional. Tread carefully & check child support laws in your state & wherever she is. In TX for example they could garnish your wages for 5 years back support & any government services like food stamps mom got as well as take drivers & professional licenses with penalty of jail for non-payment.

Having walked a friend down this road, stops are:
Attorney to learn rights & legal obligations
DNA lab
Then & only then therapist for "holy crap how can I be a dad", "what do I say" & "how do I deal with a kid"

It is entirely possible its not your kid & mom saw you as "someone who would help & be understanding" ie pay without a fight & take them in off the street...BE CAREFUL!!!
