If I were to ever visit US on some kind of bdsm holiday, like wanting to see how munches are like or visit bdsm clubs, which part of US is the best for this?

The West Coast is closer to you, so I'd say San Francisco.

As far as the type of mentality you are looking for, I advise to forget *most* the BDSM stuff and look for personal compatibility.

In my relationship with Himself, 90% (or more) of what we do is for fun and pleasure and our own personal enjoyment. We aren't high protocol, we think scenes should be for fun, we don't have a punishment dynamic, though he does get to make final decisions on anything he wants to make decisions about or things in our life we disagree on.

He's a kind, loving, compassionate man, so he doesn't make decisions w/o my input. We function together, as a couple, despite being D/s.

So, I think what you are seeking is very possible, but I have to agree it could be very hard to find in Singapore.

i understand how OP feels and i relate with it.
in my early time doing deeper "research" about the dynamic i was overwhelmed and felt alienated because the concept i have and the "real" world doesn't seem to connect in any way. I had some period of withdrawal for a couple of days because of that.

However, my Master is very kind and wise to understand my problem and guided me to see the "world out there" with their very each and unique dynamic for every person/couple. Thanks to him, i am now more confident with my concept because there is nothing right or wrong in it.
When you choose to try it, comfortable with it, and have fun with it, whatever way you prefer, then why the need to fit in other people's concept?

So, i don't think you should feel discourage just because you have your own concept.Hold your ground and stick to it. if you already have a partner/D/M, maybe you can try to communicate the problem you have, your confusion, your wants and then try to do it "your way". if you are searching, then try to talk about it with your potential partner and see the outcome.

as for clubs for munchy and/or public event, you can find one is australia which is closer than US.
i don't know if it's good or not because i've never been there and i don't have much information about kinky clubs, but it seems very nice and profesional.
