FR And so it goes on . . . We here in the British Isles got used to the marches and the ensuing violence every year in Northern Ireland. It was depressing, much.

I've never been to a professional football match - or indeed any professional sporting match. I've only ever watched the occasional event on the telly. Mind you, I've heard that violence at football matches has diminished quite a lot in the last couple of decades. It used to be a reliable regular on the Saturday evening news broadcasts. I remember watching a particularly horrible documentary once about fans from opposing clubs arranging on the phone where to meet so that they could have a punch up.

Nathan Bedford Forrest a Confederate Calvary Officer who reached the rank of Major General. A highly skilled horseman and ruthless leader however was a War Criminal. At Fort Pillow after the garrison surrender, had the black troops killed. After the Civil War he became the first Grand Dragon of the KKK. It is rumored Nathan left the KKK claiming it had become too violent.
