I don't think they should be stopped from protesting or marching.
I do think they should be responsible for the cost any added police presence required.

The slippery slope from this is it would allow a municipality to jack up the cost prohibitively against a group whose speech is unpopular. Our Constitution protects our freedom of assembly. Why give that up? It would be an enduring loss compared to a few hours exposure to a hate group.

And so it goes on . . . We here in the British Isles got used to the marches and the ensuing violence every year in Northern Ireland.

It was depressing, much.

Not really. I've never been to a professional football match - or indeed any professional sporting match. I've only ever watched the occasional event on the telly.

Mind you, I've heard that violence at football matches has diminished quite a lot in the last couple of decades. It used to be a reliable regular on the Saturday evening news broadcasts. I remember watching a particularly horrible documentary once about fans from opposing clubs arranging on the phone where to meet so that they could have a punch up.

I've always thought this exactly. You took the words right out of my keyboard though I would love to sneak around finding positions to launch some soft or rotten tomatoes. Nothing hard that would hurt anyone and totally unseen. It could be an organized effort even. Can you imagine, these guys marching, being totally ignored other than getting pelted with tomatoes or pink flour bombs coming out of secret locations along the route ?

Seriously, I can't grasp this. How is possible to whimper about being oppressed, while at the same time make loud noises about being so frigging mighty, powerful and racially supreme, and stuff? Do these people have some kind of schizoid impairment?
