I spent all day listening (happily & willingly) to Barry Mannilow"s Greatest Hits...my darkest secret is now posted here for posterity.

Barry Manilow fans, UNITE!

I have my playlists sorted by moods and have an extremely odd mix of genres. You name it, I've got it or something like it.
I have never been a fan of country but now have a handful of songs I like - my secret is now out.

So yeah, someone might take a look at mine and think I have MPD.

I'm scared to look that one up! [&:]

I have very eclectic taste in music, but have a soft spot for the pop music of the 70s when I grew up. That and the music my parents listened to at home... the Platters, Nat King Cole, etc.

Here are four that I admit that I love to listen to but wouldn't generally do so around other people. [:)]

The Monkees - Rui Chiu

Henry Mancini - Baby Elephant Walk

Henry Mancini - Peter Gunn

The Popcorn Song

I have a hundred guilty pleasure songs, but the guiltiest is "Friday."

No, if it makes you happy, then embrace it, that's what I think.

With the huge exception of Barbie Girl I like or can
at least stand most of the songs mentioned in this thread.
I like (early mostly) Neil Diamond, Barry Manilow and
Henry Mancini. I love Abba. Sugar Sugar and Party in the USA
are great ear candy like I Think I Love You by the Partridge Family.
The Rascal Flatts song that gets stuck in my head is What
Hurts the Most, so angsty and over the top, love it.

A song I'm a little sheepish about is Invisible by Clay Aiken.
It's not that it isn't catchy or that Clay can't sing but the lyrics
are a little stalky/creepy.

There's always a possibility, but it sounds pretty creepy. [;)]

I do have one song that really surprises people that I enjoy...

F*** You Like An Animal by Nine Inch Nails

It makes me wish it had been around back in the day when I could have experienced it during hot and heavy sex complete with a strobe light and a bit of herbal elevation. [:D]

Absolutely! One of Trent Reznor's more intense songs.

I'm not embarrassed by any of them, really, but I probably wouldn't sing it out loud at an old folks home [:D]

"...beatings come faster, beatings last longer..."

Have you actually heard it before?

Duskypearls -> RE: Songs you are embarrassed you like. (2/23/2013 8:12:22 PM)

Today (after 20 years) I suddenly remembered a little ditty of a silly song I once wrote for a friend, that is definitely worthy of embarassment. Would that count?
