Congress passed legislation and President Clinton signed it into law. Since there doesn't seem to be a big push to repeal DOMA, it is still the Law of the Land. Getting it off the books is important, since it won't be able to be abused by later Administrations.

Who as ever claimed that the second amendment was unlimited in the first place? Isn't already illegal for persons under eighteen and convicted felons to own a pistol? Aren't there background checks and permits required to buy a firearm from a licensed dealer? Perhaps we should require a permit and license for everything one should feel the need to buy...Especially those evil 2 liters of soda NYers would like delivered with their pizza.
