I LOVE songs with dark, or with horror-themed subject matter. I'm always looking for new ones, young and old. Any suggestions? Here are a few I could think of..

"Possession" -Sarah McLachlan
"Oh" -Psyche Corporation
"Pinnochio" -Tech N9ne (Warning: This one's REALLY fucked up!)
"Don't fear the Reaper" Blue Oyster Cult

I love them too, Violet.

Ringfinger- Nine Inch Nails
Dead Skin Mask - Slayer
Love, Hate, Love - Alice in Chains
Not An Addict - K's Choice
6 Underground - Sneaker Pimps
Limo Wreck - Soundgarden
Forty-Six & 2 - Tool
Welcome to Planet Motherfucker - White Zombie
Like Asrielle - Dead Horse
How the Gods Kill - Danzig
Dominance and Submission - Blue Oyster Cult
Supernaut - Black Sabbath
A New Reign - haarp
Suicide Note Pt 1 & 2 - Pantera

Not all are "horror", per se, but all have a darkness to them.

I'm not sure just how well some these fit into your "dark/disturbing" criteria, but hopefully you will enjoy them anyway since they at least have a (to me) subdued feel about them.

The Needle and the Damage Done - Neil Young: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi2XCsPKlY8

Ohio - Neil Young: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkg-bzTHeAk

Sally go Round the Roses - Pentangle: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fE8H_rQ7zQ&playnext=1&list=PL90723484946B37FE&feature=results_video

Forest of the Black Roses - Stevie Nicks: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKHOZlrALuA

Paint It Black - Rolling Stones: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPVUa29kHu8

At my age, "Happy Birthday" has a dark and sinister theme.

There are some really good suggestions above me.

I also like:

Creep - Radio Head
Down with the Sickness - Disturbed
One - Metallica (more depressing than dark I guess)
Seven Nation Army - The White Stripes
Help I'm Alive - Metric

NIN and Korn are good for several songs.

Morrisey's a cunt, but that's a great tune.

You've all missed the boat.

Elvis Costello--I Want You.

Here's a little sample of the lyrics:

Oh my baby baby I love you more than I can tell
I don't think I can live without you
And I know that I never will
Oh my baby baby I want you so it scares me to death
I can't say anymore than "I love you"
Everything else is a waste of breath
I want you
You've had your fun you don't get well no more
I want you
Your fingernails go dragging down the wall
Be careful darling you might fall

The truth can't hurt you it's just like the dark
It scares you witless
But in time you see things clear and stark
I want you
Go on and hurt me then we'll let it drop
I want you
I'm afraid I won't know where to stop
I want you
I'm not ashamed to say I cried for you
I want you
I want to know the things you did that we do too
I want you
I want to hear he pleases you more than I do
I want you
I might as well be useless for all it means to you
I want you
Did you call his name out as he held you down
I want you
Oh no my darling not with that clown
I want you
You've had your fun you don't get well no more
I want you
No-one who wants you could want you more
I want you
Every night when I go off to bed and when I wake up
I want you
I'm going to say it again 'til I instill it
I know I'm going to feel this way until you kill it

Try listening to it at night, when you're alone in the car, and tell me you don't keep looking in the back seat.

I say Slayer's ode to Ed Gein beats that, hands down.

Good one, Rich, and I love the video to it.

Chatterbox, I'd say yes, Hotel is very "gothic" sounding.

The End - The Doors

Brain Damage - Pink Floyd
