There was a recent post about needles..but it was where to get them..and rather than hijack the post.. I just thought I would ask here.

I am wondering...the needle play.. I mean.. what does it feel like?  Does it do the endorphin thing... does it just sting.. hurt..etc.?  I am sure it differs from person to person... so I won't get just one if any answers to this..but I while I have a huge fear of needles.. I have always kind of wondered about it.

Do any of you that do it have a huge fear of it?

If so..does this help you in any way face it.. or do you still have those fears in "normal" types of situations?

I have piercings and tattoos..and I can handle those..but a Dr's office scares the crap out of me.  Is it kind of like the feeling you get from those things.. where it hurts..yet there is satisfaction to it.. or maybe a rush?

Is that part of the good part..the fear..is that what draws some of you to it?

Are there certain types of needles that are used.. are there piercing needles.. or syringe ones...different gauges...?

Can you just go into the pharmacy and buy these over the counter?  I know when we were on fertility.. we had to have scripts for any type of needle..so I wasn't sure how that worked in this situation.

Are there certain parts of the body that have more "good" sensations from it.. like around the nipples and such.. or is it mostly in the mind as to where gives the most pleasure?

I am trying to ask specific questions..because I know that just asking what's it feels like is pretty broad term wise.  I know there have probably been plenty of threads on this...but I was just curious about it..and thought maybe new prospectives..and some old ones..might give me more of a grasp of it.

There is a chance I would want to try it..but I admit.. I am pretty scared..yet..that makes me want to try it more.. so any info I can get... to help me decide if this is something I could handle..would be greatly appreciated.

                                      Warm Regards, Ticia

Syringe needles, and it will be nothing like getting pierced.  If you can handle getting pierced then a little sticky thru the skin with a much smaller syringe needle would be a cake walk.  I am still learning, but I started out by sticking myself and it was along the lines of a quick prick and sting,  I was surprised at how little it actually hurt.  I've been pierced before (nipple and tounge) and it was not even in the same league.

As far as ordering them, someone here introduced me to an on line vet supply place,   you just order them up,  pay, and at your door they arive, easy as pie.

Unless I'm doing a pain scene, temporary piercing hurts a lot less than people imagine.  However, there's something about "danger, skin pierced" that activates the body's endorphine production big time.  I use hypodermic needes exclusively (I do also use a surgical stapler, but that's another topic as are the shark hooks).  Generally, I use a 25 gauge for decorative work and about an 18 gauge when something is to be suspended from it or if a person is going to be put in needle bondage.

I have a huge mental block regarding needles. They totally freak me out.

Not sure I'd ever be able or willing to try needle play

i used to feel the same way, HUGE fear of needles, hated them, would never consider playing with them.

The first time i did play with them, i fell in love with them. Huge endorphin rush, only thing that puts me into sub-space while actually playing. i have talked with people who are huge masochists can take a beating like no one i have ever seen who hate needles because they burn for them and won't allow them to be used on them, while i am not a huge masochist and i actually request needle play now, for me they don't burn, i feel the prick and then they settle down and it is a very peaceful scene for me.

As you said each person is different, start out with smallest needles (largest gauge 25) and see how it feels, just do a couple. i enjoy them most any place but the feet, as there is not much cushion there between skin and bone. Breasts are great, have had them other places as well.

Hope that answers the question.

heartfelt

I am hoping that is the case... I mean..the nipples were probably the worst I have had..and the monroe..so I might be able to handle it.. still makes me have the nervous twitches thinking of it though...lol

Thanks of the ordering tip also.. when/if it comes time..I can give Him that info also.

Needle bondage?  I don't think I have heard of that before.  The shark hooks and staple gun made my tummy turn a bit though...lol.   I guess there are many things I will never be brave enough to try.

Okay.. I have to hijack my own post.. what is the surgical stapler used for?  I may regret asking.. but now I kinda hafta know.

Me too.. but I am wondering if maybe there is something about the scent that I associate with them... like a Dr's office or something..because even when I get pierced..that is when my nerves start.. it's that smell..alcohol.. cleaning stuff.. I don't know.

Actually, that burning thing is my fear...I hate that part..I mean..we all know shots don't really hurt, hurt..it's that burn thing that gets me.  I would hope to get the endorphin thing like you...but till I try.. I guess I won't know.

Yes..you did answer my question fine..as did you all..thanks for the help and advice.

Though I am still curious about the surgical stapler...hmmmm

HisTicia,

I can't truly put to words the feelings I get when doing needle play...I normally by that point am off in a different world to some degree.  I can tell you that I personally LOVE, when I hear them being taken out of the wrappers!  I can recall the first time I felt them too, but not when it was, (a few years ago).  I would think it depends on where he puts them and how, the feeling from it really.
The main point of me replying though was the one question about needles at the Dr's verses play.  I am diabetic, meaning, I have blood taken every 3 months from the Dr's office...I hate it and every now and then push that 3 months longer because of that dislike of the lab putting a needle near me...NOT fear, I just simply hate it!   But with Master I love it!  To me the two are completely different.
To be honest, I don't know if it was some one other than Master doing it, if I would handle it well or not, but I trust him, and I don't have a problem, more so look forward to this activity with him.
I do find at times, a blindfold helps (NOT watching or seeing them)...having Master very close helps too, first time I was in a chair, and he was behind me so his arms actually around me as he put the needles in place ;-)...that seem to help reduce the fear of the new thing as well?

Actually, "needle bondage" is one of the things we use the stapler for.  In this, disinfected nylon cords are stapled to the body or wrapped around needles and then attached to a frameword so when the person moves the staple or needle is pulled.  Another way we do it is that I hold the cords in my hand.

In a way, this is a perfect intensity scene since it is the submissive is the one who controls the intensity by how much and how much she moves.  It's almost hypnotic to watch someone like Smiler lean back, her eyes locked with mine and the needles through her breasts pulling against the skin, as we slowly and sensually do a dance of pain with her alternatively pulling back to ratchet up the sensation and then moving close to me to catch her breath.

We usually limit the hand-held sort of scene to two or four needles but with a framework we can use as many as fifty.  This is where a stapler comes in handy since it's a lot faster to use.  Usually we put the framework around a bondage bench so the subject is lying down.  If we have the subject standing, we usually use suspension cuffs with her hands over her head because we've had cases where the subject has passed out from the endorphine rush and the cuffs prevent her from falling and putting an unacceptable strain on the needles and the webbing.

Another use for the stapler is to attach silver-plated chain to the submissive as a decoration.

Hi HisTicia,

Just thought i'd say my daughter has the same fear of needles and last year i'd gone to get a piercing and my other daughter got one too. i ask the youngest if she wanted something pierced and she said no. We never thought anymore about it until we got up the next morning and she asked me if i noticed anything different. She had pierced her own ears! i just asked her if she felt that same feeling as going to the doctors and she said "No, I just don't like others doing that to me". That really shocked us though!
Hope that helps!

I have never had a fear of needles, however knives were a different story. Chris worked me past that by challenging me one night when I was asked if I wanted to participate lol. I still am not totally over the fear, but at least it's not something that is a blind spot anymore.

Only way to get past the fear is to try. Then you can say for sure whether you like it or not.

Needles for me have been way more of a mental issue then a pain issue. I have only had it done to me by people I 100% trusted and had experience and enjoyed the experiences very much as it gave me quite strong feelings.

I found the pain to be rather manageable and especially less then actual piercings.

That sound gets me..at the piercing place..but not in the good way...hmm...maybe when I have my next one done.. I will close my eyes..and try to think of it as erotic..just to see.

I was thinking a blindfold might help..not seeing them..or knowing they were coming.. that might make it all more erotic also...that would probably be the only way I could do it.  I know what you mean though..when I walk in the Dr.. and he comes in the office.. the first thing I say is..I don't care what it is..no shots..he rolls his eyes..but it usually gets me out of them.  That is me..suffer for two weeks with what one shot would have cured in a day.

Wow.. I have never in my life even heard of this.. I might have seen a pic once.. if I think back..but didn't realize what it was.  I think I would pee myself to be honest.
I am by no means judging it.. I would love to get that kind of rush...but I think I would only have fear.. I don't know.. I am very curious now..very ..actually more than I was.. if that was possible.
How can one do that...be so scared..yet..something in them wants to try something?  I had no idea that anyone used staples for anything..I think I saw it somewhere in pic..where someone was holding one..but to be honest.. I thought it was for show.
I can't imagine the intensity this creates for the M/s D/s...that part does get me some..I long for feelings that like..the electricity in the air.

Thanks for answering my question.. it made me squirm a lot.. both good and otherwise...but it's for sure given me something to think about.

Lol..actually it brings back a silly memory.  I had my ears done..the first two holes..but for some reason I was afraid to have them do them any higher..I think I was 13... then one night.. I pierced my own..one side..no ice..with an old piercing earring..it took an hour and half...and hurt like hell.

From then on.. I decided that others..though scarier..were a heck of a lot quicker.

Thanks for sharing....lol
