Too much space to move around. Even with restraints, you'd have a ton of movability. Also, with a cage divide you could actually see where you where being taken, which obviously won't do at all.
Of course they could employ a decent hood-mask (as a blindfold you could obviously take off with all that movability) but then you're drastically increasing the time to put on restraints in a public setting. Especially if you take in consideration the "victim" struggling back, putting on enough restraints to make a van a viable option would just take too long.
Can we at least agree that the trunk of a Jeep Grand Cherokee isn't going to work under any circumstance? *glares at her husband*
