Hello all Masters and Doms,

We have all experienced fakes and scammers. I find that there are a high percentage of new female "slaves" that post over-the-top profiles and use fake photos stolen from various web pages. In my opinion there is only ONE reason that a profile will contain a fake photo, and that is to hook men into a scam of some sort.

How do you know it is a fake photo? Simply save the photo and to a Google image search and you will often find one or more hits from other sites where the photo is listed. I have found many that come from some sort of online photo gallery for models (porn or otherwise).

If we all do this as a regular practice and report the fake profiles as scammers then we will all be helping to keep the site clean and make it harder for these fakes to succeed in whatever scam hey are trying to pull off. It only takes a minute to do this and the more of use who submit reports the quicker these fakes will be removed from the system.

Personally I check any new user profile that has a suspicious photo, but even if you just check the ones that interest you it will help. I used to just ignore them, but it is extremely annoying to see that on average 50% (or more) of new user profiles every day are fake. I know we can't stop it completely and some fakes do not post photos, but I kindly request that we all do what we can for everyone's benefit.

I find that there is a high percentage of people coming to the forums and compaining about fakes. Don't they realize that this is the internet and you will find people on the internet who lie? Don't they realize that this happens on every web site out there? I have found that many of them post one time and then disappear, what's up with that?

The problem with that is that there are some users here who are models, fetish models, or do cam-for-pay type work. These people might legitimately have their profile photo on other sites.

Now I admit, that is a small minority of cases, and I agree that you can usually just tell that a profile is fishy. But it is entirely possible that in many cases, it COULD be the owner of the photo or the photographer that took it using the profile. So up until the person actually does do something scammy, like ask for money or spam the hell out of other users, the site doesn't know for sure and isn't likely to just start deleting tons of profiles - it's a business after all, it's in their interest to keep profiles up so they won't take them down without a compelling reason.

I think you'll also find that a lot of profiles with fake information are not technically scammers - they may be wankers, but not scammers. On the internet you can identify and present as you wish - if I want to present as a gay male dom online I can. While using other people's photos does come under certain violations of copyright laws, once again the site doesn't know who has the rights to that photo unless the actual owner gets in contact. I guess what I'm saying is I could take a photo of my husband and put it up here legitimately. I'd be a fake, by your definition, but not doing anything wrong in a technical sense.

There is a HUGE flaw with your suggestion.

There are many fetish models, porn models, and webcam models who are on CM.
Who like myself are also lifestylers.

When you do a google photo search, BAM.
Guess what?

Our photo's will show up all over. Lol
That doesn't make us fake or scammers that makes us working fetish models, working porn models, or working webcam models. Hell at times all of the above and more.

The scammers ask for money, gift cards and so forth. The other side clearly states "DO NOT SEND MONEY!!!"

That doesn't even make them a scammer.
A scammer is someone who says if you pay me x you will get y and does not follow through.

I require payment for sessions a proswitch.
That doesn't make me a scammer.

I also practice financial domination.
Which means my finsubs give me a certain amount of money.
That doesn't make me a scammer.

I also have a wish list, again that doesn't make me a scammer.

My suggestion to you is that you don't search on new users. Only write a woman if her profile is at least 30 days old, or if she has posted a journal entry. You'll avoid 99% of 419-scam profiles with those two criteria alone.

It's apparent that my scamming abilities are surely lacking, as I have been using fake photos since

my top tip to you is this; if she is hot, promises you all sorts of stuff that gets your cock hard, looks like she just left high school, has tits under her chin and all you need to do to tap that is pay her something she's probably a fake. you're welcome.

This is really sound advice. Honestly, anyone who thinks of themselves as "good" really ought to be trying to do this in pretty much all contexts. Thank you.

I'll take that advice to heart and do what I can for your benefit right now. Different men who come to this site report vastly different experiences in the numbers of "fakes" they encounter. I don't think I've ever encountered a fake on this site. I mean sure, I've seen profiles that made me raise my eyebrows and chuckle a bit but whether that profile is real or fake means nothing to me since either way I wasn't going to want to talk to them. Even if I did encounter a "fake" so what? Whatever it is their plan is it's going to come apart at the seems pretty quickly because I tend to be very reality based. So my advice, put to you simply, is to ponder on why you're running into this as if it's some sort of problem. I am not the only male on this site who has a different experience.

In the interests of full disclosure, I'm not searching for anyone. But if I were it wouldn't change the selection of women I want to talk too. It'd be the very same group including those who are happily attached.

By the way, you might ponder this also. The problem with internet witch-hunts is the same as with any mob mentality thing. You never quite know where it's going to go. I have to say that your first post here and your profile just scream fake to me. So if I were a chick and taking your advice I might be passing your name around to all my friends asking them to report you.... for everyone's benefit.

Clever guys
Boring guys
Psycho guys
Delusional guys
Dumb guys
Intelligent guys
Trashy guys

Etc.

Guess what?

None of them were fake, just not right for me.

Guess what?

I did not go around posting to grown adults how to discern real vs. fake because there is no such thing and I trust people can figure this easy stuff out.

It is not my job to protect an adult from their own stupidity. Scammers are pretty easy to spot if you are using the head on your shoulders instead of the one between your legs.

"you will be young, fit and attractive"

Not surprised he's bumping up against the scammer profiles with pics of hot, young babes.

It seems these posts complaining about fakes and scammers are always written by older dudes looking for young flesh. I say go for it, if that's what you want, but just realize that the profiles of young women on this site will have a higher percentage of fakes.

OK, UllrsIshtar is hot, young, sexy, fit, yada yada.

I don't recall reading her profile before but I just went on over to take a look. I'm completely not surprised by the fact that it's exactly the sort of profile that would attract me if I was looking (well, except for the whole taken part). It reads like a real human being engaged in the real world.

So I'm pretty sure that even if I was looking for some woman half my age, slim and sexy, et.al. I STILL wouldn't be running into any fakes. For the most part I think I'd get maybe 2 lines in tops, block them and move on.
