Oh no, piccante - that was just the problem. My friend had had men bellowing at her about her chest since her teen years - she'd grown to hate such men, but also to hate her chest. The men who'd tried to come on to her in more recent years, though, had had enough nous not to say anything about her chest. Ungentlemanly, unstylish. But they had, all of them, said something in the end - usually when they were in bed with her. And that had destroyed it, every time.

Someone who likes an aspect of you that you find detestable must also be detestable. Simple logic, innit? That's the dismal thing about it.

Some of them actually pay extra for the uniformed-types-with-needles experience.

Because I'm sure everyone has been waiting with baited breath: I agree with the general consensus that boors tend towards preference for the obvious, and also towards mild dickery.

Unfortunately, there are quite a few men who don't take the time to run their thoughts past the brains on their shoulders, therefore resulting in an abundance of the aforementioned kind of comment.

Man, I wonder what sort of "men" you hang around with to have that life experience. I just asked Carol if any stranger has ever just walked up to her and said "Woah! Nice Tits". At the age of 58 her answer was "never" -- nor anything like that. She has 32-D breasts so not titanically huge but D cups on a 32 inch frame is non-trivial. At one step removed she thinks she might have had a friend back in college who mentioned such things happening to her but she's not certain.

She mentions that maybe in high school this happened but I'm assuming we are not discussing the antics of kids here.

that has happened to me, I was walking down the street, minding my own business, thinking happy thoughts in my own happy world.. and this asshole walking towards me on the street said "nice tits" as he walked past me.. You dont need to hang around "men" like that, they are everywhere..

Oppressive Beliefs Predict Breast Size Preferences

British White men from the community in London, England (N = 361) viewed figures of women that rotated in 360° and varied in breast size along five levels. They then rated the figure that they found most physically attractive and also completed measures assessing their sexist attitudes and tendency to objectify women. Results showed that medium breasts were rated most frequent as attractive (32.7 %), followed by large (24.4 %) and very large (19.1 %) breasts. Further analyses showed that men’s preferences for larger female breasts were significantly associated with a greater tendency to be benevolently sexist, to objectify women, and to be hostile towards women.

Does it seem from your experience that big-breasted women attract more sexist men?

K.

This is an entirely bullshit study.

Big titties are a fabulous thing...so are small titties.

Big titties are like deer in the headlights....ain't nothing...it's just too gawdamn much (titty)!

Ya got too much titty...ya can't think...ain't no thang...it's just titty.

Perfectly understandable.

This has definitely happened to me that men have felt the need to come up to me and comment on my breasts, and they aren't men that I know or are "hanging out with" - strangers. I'm just an average person, I don't hang out in sleazy bars and don't live in a ghetto as far as life experience.

I should have clarified that it's never happened to me. I'm a jeans and hoodies type of girl, so people tend to be very hard pressed to discern whether or not my tits are worthy of a passing "Cor, nice tits!" comment, and therefore refrain. Sexual partners usually have something to say about them, but a) they're allowed and b) I generally pick men with a decent penis>brain>mouth pathway, which allows them to change the initial "OMG, fucking nice titties!" thought into something a little less blatant.

I do, however, have a friend from my school days who is a natural 36J, and had tremendous breasts from the age of 13 or so. She is considering a breast reduction; mainly because she has awful back problems as a result of her breasts, but also because she can't move for salivating men who feel the need to say such things to her, even when she's just walking down the street.

Yup.

I used to be a 38DD since the age of 12. The men who were attracted to me were definitely sexist.

When I got them reduced to a 36B, I attracted a whole different class of men who were not the sexist type. They were more interested in me and not my tits. They were not sexist. They treated women just as equally as they viewed men.

I can say with no hesitancy at all with having experienced both sides.

She was very lucky then. Having had big breasts from 12 until about age 28, I can say that I have had tons and tons of men just approach me on the streets and yell out from their cars "Nice tits!" quite often. It was pretty common to the point I expected it anytime I went out. I would do everything I could to cover up my size by wearing baggy clothing and heavy coats. It made me extremely self conscious to even leave my house.

I'm jealous that Carol never had those experiences.

No. Which, of course, you already know.

Would you be implying that they don't see those "My eyes are up here" t-shirts in the UK?

Ditto all of this. It was interesting to read your experience of the change after your reduction. My own life experience would lead me to expect just that. I am jealous of you!

The only thing I regret with my reduction is that I didn't have it done earlier. It was definitely a huge life changer for me.

You're lucky you were able to go to such bra size after your reduction. I had a reduction and I'm still a 44D. And yes, I still get the sexists attitude, though not quite as often as I did in my younger days. When I was a waitress in a greasy spoon, some of the creeps who came in there even thought grabbing my boobs was a "free desert".

No, though I think they're quite good.

Level has it right, though: I was implying that the sky here isn't blue. It's grey, if you can see it at all for the water hitting you in the eyes. ;-)

I think large breasted women have to endure a lot of
crude behavior from men on the streets etc.
I knew a girl who had large breasts who was walking to
class when she was in college and cut through a park
like area on campus. There were a group of boys hanging
out there and they started shouting things like Look at those jugs!
And were wolf whistling and catcalling. She was very shaken
up. She later had breast reduction surgery and said it was
one of the best decisions of her life.

But having small breasts doesn't protect you from oafs.
I was walking down the street and had a guy say to me
"Shake those little titties for me, baby" Sweet talker.
You don't have to do anything to invite that sort of behavior
other than not wearing a burka and leaving the house without
a male escort.

I have had *relatively* small ones until last April, when I lost a bunch of weight. I noticed that more and more guys were commenting on my tits, but I didn't think anything of it (in Oakland, men say the craziest shit anyway) until I got measured at Victoria's Secret. I had been wearing the wrong size for months! Now that my fun bags aren't popping out all over the place, men and women tend to look at my face more.
