ORIGINAL: DarkSteven NOWHERE does it state that the women were identical except for their breast size. In other words, their entire figures were likely fuller, and the researchers chose to assume that breast size was the ONLY independent variable. It's obvious that waist size, hip size, and face fullness would have varied as well, while the researchers were fixated on boobs. I agree with Kirata. This is all theory based on a completely unfounded premise. I'm unimpressed. quote:
Also, that "greater tendency to be benevolently sexist, to objectify women, and to be hostile towards women" is extremely subjective, and I'd be suspicious of means to measure it. Oh yeah! Now THIS part I absolutely agree with. And I must admit, the fact that this part exists makes me doubt any other possible part of the study. This actually sounds like the prelude to some feminist rant to me. I have to admit, the title of the paper while "on point" sounds like pretty straight-forward male-bashing too. One last point. I used to like smaller breasts. Then I fell in love with Carol who's got bigger breasts. Now I like bigger breasts. Have I suddenly become more oppressive as a result of loving Carol?
