'' As we know, there are many knowns. There are things we know we know. We also know there are known unknowns. That is to say, we  know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown  unknowns, the one's we don't know we don't know.''

Donald Rumsfeld, Feb, 12, 2002
Department of Defense News Briefing

Is there something wrong with me because that actually made sense to me and I do think a lot of times we are fouled up by unknowing the unknowing. Although not in Iraq.

That quote made perfect sense to Me too.  I do not see where the problem lies.  It is what you do not know you do not know that will hurt you the most.

Oh... It does make sense; but used in the context denoted, it's nothing more than nonsensical gibberish. The article HappyPervert linked says it all~! HAR!

Few people in Canada realise how our Prime minister Chretien was spoofing that bit of BS, when he did his, proof is a proof is proof etc....line.

He was replying to a question of Canada joining in invading Iraq. What proof would he need to join in.
