When these are legal.

http://www.thefiscaltimes.com/Media/Slideshow/2013/03/28/10-Weapons-You-Wont-Believe-Are-Legal.aspx?index=1

"Assaul weapons" never heard of those. You will read that many of these weapons are baned in California. I happen to own a wick musket but that did not make the list. One of my Renaissance Groups has a black powder cannon but the picture in the article is not a black powder cannon. I also know a few American Civil War groups that have black powder cannons. I also own a cross bow and swords, none are Katanas. I recall back in the 70's some guy owned a pair of nunchucks, he actually got in a fight and a change to use them. The other guy never was able to throw a punch, the guy with nunchucks knocked himself out trying to impress him with how well he used them. I also see those ninja shotting stars (shuriken) didn't make the list.

Shuriken weren't typically used as a deadly weapon. Unfortunately, some people watch too many bad kung fu flicks.
Shuriken were used to ward off and annoy assailants. It would take one hell of a lucky shot to kill with one.
Do you not see the hypocrisy of a person who carries weapons to dress up parties that glorify an untra violent lifestyle who is anti weapon?

Are you inplying US Civil War Re-enactors are a untra(?) violent lifestyle? Which side? North or South?

No, I'm talking about the medieval swords and sorcery types.
Swords have murdered more innocents over the years than so-called 'assault weapons'. In many cases the body count was in the thousands.
Hundreds of thousands of non combatants were slaughtered in Europe alone over the years and some people still go to dress-up parties and revel in this lifestyle.
There was even a serial killer that met his future wife at one of those. Serial killers go to Renfaires.

By the way, if you want to talk typos, you might not wish to mention the mote in someone elses eyes while ignoring the beam in yours.

People are killed by sorcery I would like to see those numbers. Admitted you just don't look good in a tunic. And you are still not getting into Comic Con or attend the Adrian Empire Wars, no mead for you.

According to a 2001 study by the International Committee of the Red Cross, the civilian to soldier death ratio in wars fought since the mid-20th century has been 10:1, meaning ten civilian deaths for every soldier death.

Uh, key ingredient in fertilizer IS ammonia nitrate. That is why if you mix fuel oil with it, you get ampro, an explosive.

You know as well as I that I am talking about your venerated sword as the weapon that has murdered hundreds of thousands of innocents as you glorify it and the lifestyle that led to the deaths.
As for mead, I've made my own for over 20 years. Check my recipe down at the bottom if you want. My pomegranate/blueberry mead is well known for being more effective than tequila for making clothes fall off..

To the people saying the prosocutor and his wife got shot even though the prosocutor carried a gun, proves guns don't protect you. First, he probably got shot in his sleep or was surprized and ambushed.

Since Police who are wide awake, and well armed, sometimes get "ambushed," is your point that the police and even the military, who also get "ambushed," should not carry guns because they do not GAURANTEE you will survive?

Sure, because assault rifles were invented in the 40s and swords were invented in the Bronze Age. When assault rifles have been around for 4000 years - hell, 400 years - I can guarantee you they'll have killed more people than swords even have.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen somebody whack themselves in the face, shoulder, chest, crotch with nunchucks in Taekwondo class. It takes a lot of practice before you're less of a danger to yourself than to others, haha. (And I'm about to start learning them, so, wish me luck! )

Such weapons are rationally indefensible in a civil society.

Bullshit. If all the members of a society were civilized, it wouldn't matter in the slightest what weapons they had and there would be no rationally defensible argument for interfering with them having them.

At the moment someone invades your home or tries to assault you on the street you cease to live in a civil society.
If you wait till that moment to prepare it is too late.

According to a report Texas Law Enforcement was well aware that the Ayran Brotherhood was making plans against Texas Law Enforcement. The warning used the phase "mass casualties". It is strange, Texas one of the most liberal pro gun owning states with easy to obtain concealed weapons permits and Stand Your Ground Law, the theory with all the armed citizens criminals like the Aryan Brotherhood would run in fear of all this, looks like the theory is not working.
